“BEWARE ! This place gave me food poisoning!!!! Managers and employees refuse to respond or acknowledge my calls or emails now they health department is involved. I am currently pregnant. This was my favorite spot to eat at not anymore. I will not be returning. I’ve been coming here for years.“

“I enjoyed their food...I didn't particularly care for the instant mashed potatoes... had I'd known that they were "instant" and not real mashed potatoes I would have passed on the instant mashes potatoes, and definitely not ordered that particular item with my 3 ( three)to go orders. Other than that..everything was good and seasoned just right... :)I support this business, and I love that they are also an organization that is helping men and women get back on track with their sobriety.. Dare U To Care Grill is helping to keep them gainful employment and also helping them establish stable housing.Everyone deserves a second chance...Dare U To Care Grill is doing great things!! “One of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. I’m visiting LA with my girl and her parents from France, we decided to come here and order a LA bag to share. We get the food and it was too spicy for my girl, owner Jake seen she stopped eating and had our server Michelle bring out an extra entree on the house for her. Jake came over afterward and talked to us for awhile, even ended up throwing an extra beer on the house in for my girl’s father. Great food, even better service, perfect way for my new French family to experience the USA. 11/10 experience!“

“Definitely worth coming here for the food but for better service and overall experience, I'd recommend going to the Buena Park location which is in the mall across the street from Knott's Berry Farm.
Here at the Long Beach location, we had to wait almost an hour to be seated and our food took forever as well. Then once we had gotten our food, they never came to check up on us and I kept having to flag down our waiter for my family's needs. But the food was really really good. 10/10.“

“During a recent trip to Los Angeles, a seafood craving led us to Star Crab, located along W Centinela Avenue in a low-key neighborhood setting that’s easy to miss if you’re not looking for it.
From the outside, it has that casual strip mall feel that might make you pause, especially for seafood. We had the same initial hesitation. Once inside, though, the energy told a different story. A steady flow of locals coming and going gave it a sense of familiarity and quiet confidence.
We ordered the seafood boil, and it delivered on flavor. Everything tasted fresh, well-seasoned, and satisfying. The staff created a welcoming environment and kept things moving smoothly without ever feeling rushed.
Portion size could be more generous for the price, which is something to keep in mind. Still, the quality of the food and the overall experience made it a worthwhile stop.
We visited on a Sunday in the late afternoon, just before 6 PM, and the timing worked well, active enough to feel vibrant, yet comfortable enough to enjoy the meal without a wait.
It’s the kind of place that grows on you. I’d return on a future visit and would recommend it to anyone looking for a solid seafood option in the area.“

“I recently stumbled upon your establishment and must say, the name perfectly captures how I felt after trying your food. I ordered fried wings, rice, and vegetables, and each dish was exceptional.
The wings were piping hot, and the aroma that wafted from the box was simply incredible. The blend of spices and flavors was perfect, and I was truly blown away.
The rice was buttery and delicious, and the vegetables were a wonderful complement to the meal.
Thank you for such a delightful dining experience. I will certainly be back for more.“
“Cajun outdoor shack with fried seafood options, gumbo, and even alligator. There’s a small parking lot behind the building. Credit cards are accepted. Outdoor dining only (no indoor options) and there’s delivery and takeout available. As other reviews and the sign on their window notes,you won’t get the food quickly since it’s slow food and that’s part of the whole experience. You scan a QR code to get the menu. I opted for a fried catfish and five shrimp plate which came with an option of two small sides. I got the red beans and rice as well as fries. The red beans and rice were hot and comforting; the fries are crinkle cut. The plate came with a side of tartar sauce and there are hot sauces and ketchup available at each table. They have a paper towel roll and hand sanitizer at each table as well. The fish isn’t as seasoned as I would’ve expected but the shrimp was super fresh and tasty. I had leftovers and they still kept relatively well the next day.“

“Everytime I want some fish, I have to come here, the fish is fresh SEASONED and HOT. The chicken is good to but the FISH. I always enjoy, ordering here. The only thing I dont like is the Lady the urinated in the place and sits outside every single day asking for money. The fish its a bit of a wait but I prefer to wait to have fresh cooked fished. Its Always packed. Thats how you know its GOOD. Oh and the RICE...👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽“

“Very good food and perfect portions for the price. The quality is high, and the flavors are consistent. It's like Crab Boil Asian fusion in a way. They have both on the menu. And out of left field, the garlic bread was very tasty. I come here often and like it a lot-might be the best hidden secret in the area. If you do not like spice, order the no spice option and it is very mild. The mild is already more spicy than some people would like. Their veggies are always fresh and cooked well. Meats are higher quality. You wont be disappointed with your order from here.“
