“Food is so full of flavor and absolutely delicious! Combo #2 was perfect for three. We enjoyed the crab, shrimp and clams very much and the tray also came with a bit of corn, potatoes and sausage. Everything was fantastic and the service was very friendly and quick. It's a very simple, small restaurant with great food and service.“
“This is the best seafood restaurant I have ever tried, all the others restaurant have such small a menu, but this is different this restaurant has much variety and everything tastes great, the atmosphere was nice, and the servers were great and didn't forget anything I asked for, overall this is definitely a five star worthy restaurant ? ? ? ? ?“
“I enjoyed my experience at Orleans and York deli. The Chicken Pastrami with fries was flavorful, and the service was prompt. The cozy ambiance added to the overall positive dining experience. However, there's room for improvement in terms of quality of food and customer service. Overall, a solid 4-star rating.“
“The prices for 1 is better that's one reason I drive there. The food is always delish. I always get 2lbs of crab legs and 1 lv of shrimp. Corn on the cob and the sausage is the bomb. The people are always very nice. I'm glad I found this place and I highly recommend.“
“Don't live close any more, but I drove 140 miles to see if they are still great. Answer: yes! The way they treat you, it feels like "welcome home". Had an omelet full of New Orleans flavors. Left full and happy. 5 stars all the way!“
“Food, chef's kiss! I'm yelling cuz it's that good! Too bad I'm not a morning person, but to have some Red's breakfast, I will wake up early. We ordered Texas scramble with potatoes. Those potatoes have my heart! So good! Also ordered shrimp & grits - 100% stamp of approval. So delicious and full of flavor. Not runny but substantially good. Can't wait to try the other items on the menu.Picked up food so didn't eat inside. I suggest calling in your order because they get busy, especially during the holidays.“
“Los tacos, empanadas y Los agua chiles verdes están riquísimos y el lugar está limpio y la comida fresca los mejores mariscos de south gate Good and service is amazing! Ordered a shrimp and a fish tacos, chipotle shrimp empanadas and an agua chiles verde. best mariscos spot in South Gate everything is clean and tastes fresh. The agua fresca de fresa y limon was fire too“
“The flavor and portion of the shrimp were awesome! Great. Delicious. BUT it could have used more potatoes, corn, and sausage. Also, they forgot the rice. We understand it was Easter, and maybe they were eager to go home, but it was pretty empty in there, so it was a little disappointing. All in all, we will go again and make sure to double-check our food before we leave. Great customer service, too! ?“
“Best seafood boil I've ever had!!! And affordable!!! This is our favorite boil place!!!Parking: The lot is small but we've never had an issue finding parking.Kid-friendliness: We've taken my friends toddler here a few times. As kid and baby friendly as any other place.“
“Went there today just before closing. Purchased oxtails with candied yams & rice and gravy. Excellent tasting, the gravy was delicious oxtails were falling off the bones and the candied yams were very good also. Did not really like the corn bread dressing. The hostess, Star was very friendly and welcoming. I'm from the Chi and recommend it highly. Price was right also.Looking for good food check Matthews at 2222 W. Rosecran out. They also have delivery. Thanks Star, MickeyParking: Many“
“Never disappoints. Always super delicious. Fast and efficient service every time. We come for their Cajun shrimp and crab legs. Don’t forget to try their fried rice! The atmosphere is a little quiet but the food and service make the experience so worth it.“
“Had recently visited New Orleans and needed something in the SoCal area to scratch that itch. Had the seafood gumbo and a shrimp po'boy with mac and cheese. The owner was lovely and incredibly nice. Food did take a bit of time but so worth it. The shrimp in the po'boy was well seasoned and had amazing flavor. The gumbo was phenomenal as well, packed with everything you'd expect giving you a nice warm fuzzy feeling after eating it. Mac and cheese was great too, rich in flavor. Will drive up from OC to eat here again soon.“
“Our visit yesterday was fire. I wanted cajun fries so bad the whole day so we stopped in. The server with the brown hair and sweater yesterday must’ve read my mind because she had my cajun fries seasoned extra well just as I had asked for. The mussels we got were big and fresh and the service was good, friendly, and fast. Wish I had gotten the name of our server because she was super sweet. Thanks for satisfying my craving.“
“First time , walked in and seated immediately. Our server Salome (?) was wonderful. Personal and helpful with the menu . Loved her French accent . Several families seated and couples, looks like a good place to go after Church? . They have a Sunday brunch till 2 pm . Too late for us ,but was glad . We ordered the lunch special $18.00 of 1/2 po boy of choice, and a gumbo /gumbalaya/ bisque . Had the grilled shrimp , good size for 1/2 sandwich and a lot of shrimp . The Bayou bisque is sooo very good !! Lots of fish, white sauce on rice . Hubby had the gumbalaya , he liked it but liked mine more ! They have their hot sauces on the table , Pepper, chipotle, raspberry and garlic sauce . The garlic hot sauce isn't that hot , very tolerable for me and adds a little spice . Loved it ! Big jars for beverages! And our server left a carafe for us to refill .I ordered dessert to go , white chocolate bread pudding with the bourbon caramel glaze on the side $12.00. it probably is HEAVEN served warm at the restaurant but I ate some it at home at room temp. Sooo good ! All the desserts are made by the owner . Will be our new go to when we visit Redondo in the future!!Parking: Has their own parking lot but since we walked up to restaurant , we didn't check it outKid-friendliness: Very casual , families were present , popular for after churchWheelchair accessibility: Easy to enter and pull up at a table“
“This is the hoodest spot ever to go stand in a haphazard covid line for some chicken and fried rice but yes we will travel like it's 1999 to go get it!! We have had everything on the menu including accidentally eating the wrapper trying to get to the last french fry at the bottom of a Lawd help me greasy bag and I must say this place is blessed and anointed with the gift of keep it coming!!!“
“This is a small place next to a small parking lot. So I was there on a rainy late Saturday afternoon and got right up to the order window. I had the fish and shrimp combo with cabbage and red beans & rice. The fish was fairly thickly and crunchy-battered cooked just right. The shrimp were quite large for a combo plate... this place isn't cheap, but they have it all down to a Cajun science. Food: 5* (Delicious to an item) Service: 5* (Delivered to my car) Looks like I'll be returning here!“
“I visited this location during happy hour and had an amazing experience! Our waiter was incredible he taught us how to open the Dungeness crab + provided top tier service. This restaurant is a gem. The food was fresh and the restaurant was clean.“
“My family and I enjoyed the food at Shrimp by You. One waitress was very nice. I ate the lobster roll and it was very tender and great savor. My parents also enjoyed eating crabs. This restaurant is very comfortable and the seafoods are also very good too.“
“Enjoyed our meal. 1 small bad was my not spicy soup had SOMETHING SUPER spicy in it. That took a while to recover from. Also be aware the receipt has a line for tip but the automatically include the tip in your total. They failed to tell us this which is not so cool. Still, I'd go back to try more things. The Cajun fries were amazing.“
“Atmosphere felt welcoming. Like there sauce but wish it was a thicker consistency not to watery but has great flavor.Kid-friendliness: They have a Kid Manu of choices.Wheelchair accessibility: It has a ramp sidewalk to the businesses. Has double door to open. Tables to removable chairs to make space for any disability.“
“Service was nice and friendly. My group ordered two sea food boils and a cheeseburger with fries. My sister and I had the pineapple margaritas. Everything was delicious. Margs were a good nice size, coated rim with chamoy and tajin. Seafood boil food was priced at market price. A little pricey but totally worth it. Will definitely return when I come back to Cali.“
“This place here is just serious. Lemon pepper grilled salmon - My Lord!!!! Get here today and get your New Orleans fix. Bread pudding, regular/chocolate/rum pralines, zapps chips, po boys, shrimp, fish.Listen, just get your self over there. Bring a friend or the whole family. This food is for real!!!!“
“Found a gem of a place for a seafood boil craving in the Long Beach area.Three of us ordered the seafood boil for two with squids, shrimps, and snow crab legs.We had the extra spicy version and it did not disappoint! It was yummy and downed with a couple of Modelos. The vibe is also cool here. Great for kids as well.Definitely going back.“
“Louisiana Charlie’s is an order first type restaurant where you pay and order your food at the register before being seated. There is indoor and outdoor waterfront seating. It gets extremely crowded during the weekend and they do not accept reservations. The prices ate extremely reasonable especially for the seafood boils and they have lunch specials. The food looks amazing I always want to try everything that I see at other tables. I’ve tried the shrimp Po boy and oyster Po boy. Both were fried and seasoned perfectly. The Cajun fries are thoroughly seasoned and the Cajun spices are delicious. The shrimp & grits are also really good, especially the roux. The cornbread is great too. I look forward to coming back to try different menu items. The staff are all friendly with good vibes. There is a paid parking lot that the restaurant will validate.“
“My first time coming here last night & everything was great! From the service and food, best seafood spot I’ve ever been to. me and my bf got combo #3 for $94 and it's worth it. we shared a bag and still have left overs ! definitely coming back “
“You have officially found the Queen of Gumbo!!! I know you've been looking, I was too. If you've landed here, someone up above loves you. Everything on the menu is the truth, and yes, this is that real southern gumbo! We order pots every Christmas! Make sure you say hi to Sal, the hardest working gal you can find in a Soul Food Kitchen!“
“Good energies, Fav spot to eat a entree or appetizers & relax with good company!Vegetarian options: Good option of veggies to eat boiled or grilledKid-friendliness: Every time I bring my baby they always pull up a clean high baby chair! & the waiters always refill our drinks.“
“I have not actually had their crawfish, but what I have had from this establishment has been a 10 out of 10. Their garlic, Cajun fries, amazing! I've also had their fried catfish and that was really good as well. I would like to try their Dungeness crab if they have it. There's not many people when you walk in, so it seems like this place isn't that good but once you try their food, you see it is. It's also very clean smelling, but it doesn't smell like bleach. I do feel like the prices are decent for the flavor and the quantity. The girl at the front desk was also really pretty.“
“This was my first time and the food was delicious. I had the pork chops with gravy over rice, yams and greens. The pork chops was tender and the gravy was finger licking good. my sister had the gumbo and it was good. Not too spicy. Even the home made lemonade was good. I will definitely be back and bring my friends. The owner was very friendly and nice.“
“Very trendy new hot chicken place in Hawthorne. This is my second time here and both times the restaurant has been extremely clean with friendly and professional staff. This time we came for a late night eat post football game and it was a cool vibe again. The menu is pretty simple but has some dope variations like the Mac and cheese fries. The only thing that I thing is a bit strange is the asking for a tip while paying for food. It doesn't encourage any good behavior and I think restaurants as a whole should stop using that unless they are serving you. Tips come after service period. That aside the food is pretty good and the tater tots have a ton of crunch. The chicken is heavy on the batter which is standard for hot chicken in my experience but it goes great on the sandwiches. The sauces are awesome too so keep it up“
“The food was absolutely amazing. I got the brisket po'boy and my wife got the surf'n'turf po'boy. We were greeted by Norwood and he explained everything about the menu and their service philosophy. The environment was so friendly and the food was better than anticipated. I can't believe the po'boys were only $13. You gotta try this!!“
