I’ve tried almost every single bakery shop in the Glendale and Pasadena areas, and this place is by far the absolute best.

The owners of the restaurant are very kind people and the pastries are amazing . I’ve tried a variety of their treats and every single time I leave very satisfied. If you need any kind of pastry Maksen Cake House is the way to go.

The shop also offers a variety of other pastries, all at reasonable prices. Whether you're looking for a last-minute treat or planning ahead, Maksen Cake House is the place to go for quality baked goods and a hospitable experience. The chef/owner was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to bring a vision to life, not only did the design turn out amazing, but she also worked with customers on pricing, had a quick turnaround, and the cake itself was absolutely delicious. A lemon cake with icing was a beautiful tall cake with elegant icing that was even more delicious than it looked! The cake was absolutely incredible. The filling was so delicious. The frosting was a perfect consistency and balance of creamy and slightly sweet, and the cake itself was just outstanding.
