“Fantastic staff and very complete stock of RPG material from variety of publishers. Miniatures from Star Wars legion, gamesworkshop and reaper. Surprised how often they had difficulty to find items. Great selection of paints. Did I also mention 🐈⬛ cats?!? Boardgames? Gotcha covered 👍😃 Dice, paints, games, game rooms and cats! Worth a visit. Wife was impressed with how clean and organized store was.“

“I love this place!! They have a great selection, and super helpful when I'm looking for something specific – plus, I can give them a dollar amount and they'll weigh it out for me, rather than picking a weight and getting a price for it.
On a hot day, I 100% recommend their peppermint cooler – it's a slightly milky slushy with peppermint tea, and it is so so so delicious and refreshing.“

“Such a lovely experience! It's a little expensive and the selections, while beautiful contain food choices that would not logically appeal to most diners (mushroom sandwich, caviar on salmon, for example). I loved the wide range of choices but my guest could not eat everything, sadly. All so fresh and creative!!“

“My party and I had never done teatime before and I swear we left different women. The environment was so feminine and classy, but still felt very homey and cozy. The tea attendants were also so kind and provided very attentive service. Los Angeles is so lucky to have a space like this for them to come together, enjoy delicious pastries, Explore wonderful teas, and leave closer than when they came. I cannot speak for the rest of my party, but I will definitely be back Someday soon. Maybe even for a solo teatime!“

You can find different prices range from high end to affordable there. I purchased some teas and they are packaged well and tasted really good and authentic. Employees seem very knowledgeable in their products. Im impressed! This designer approved! :)“
“This review is a long time coming! I came here 3 times between Oct 2022 and April 2023, bringing friends (some new and some repeats) for tea tastings. You can try 5 teas per tasting with 5 steepings per tea (for time's sake and not because of flavor dissipation). There is such a wide and ever-changing selection of teas so there's always more to try than you could possibly ever drink!Tea habitat specializes in Chinese teas, but since that's already a lot of area to cover, you'll find something for everyone's tastes. The owner is hilarious, and we all enjoyed interacting not only with the tea and each other, but also with her. We definitely leave tea drunk :)I usually put some tasting notes for the teas in my reviews, but notes for 15 teas is a bit excessive so I'll just share a couple of my favorites.The 2022 Tai Ping Hou Kui Wild Grown 1st pick is almost matcha-like, velvety soft with a slight nuttiness. The flavor mellows over the steepings into a clean mouthfeel with subtle floral bouquet.The 2022 Xiao Ye Tu Cha Wild Native (white) Varietal Small Leaf was super interesting! It started with a sweet aroma and reminded me inexplicably of soy milk (a mix of slight creaminess and nuttiness, maybe), but with juicy mouth feel. The creamy berry sweetness really predominates in the second steeping, and there is a subtle almost umami tendency in the third steeping.I also bought a Chao Zhou red clay teapot to brew Phoenix Dan Cong teas at home!To buy to bring home, the prices of the tea leaves really range, with (of course) the really high quality teas being pricier (but oh are they good!). This is not my go-to place to stock up tea for every day drinking (can't quite afford that and some personal preferences), but it's a great treat for tea lovers to be able to access and experiment with a variety of Chinese teas. Definitely a fun experience, especially with friends!“

But hadn't frequented the white rose after they went to a more upscale setting, my old high school homie suggested we go there and after we got seated I found out his out of town visit was for a death in his family that he assumed I knew about but I did not... now your staff being as great as you guys are and the food made this bad personal experience for us very nice otherwise, and it made me feel I may visit again sometime for lunch and a cold 🍺“

“Strongly recommend coming here for an afternoon of tea. It is a wonderful spot if you want a reason to dress up, drink delicious tea, and the best scones! Would also recommend their tea/bites boxes which comes with an assortment of delights.
You cannot go wrong spending a few hours at the Rose Tree Cottage, and will never be disappointed by the amazing service.

“We came to Chado Tea Room in Pasadena for a friend’s blog launch and had a lovely time! The setting is beautiful — cozy, charming, and perfect for an afternoon tea hangout. It does get quite busy on weekends, so definitely plan ahead.
Each of us had a tea set that came in the classic three tiers: scone on top, sandwiches in the middle, and cookies at the bottom. The salmon sandwich was our favorite — super tasty and fresh! The teas were excellent too; we had the lavender tea, which was fragrant and calming.
Service was friendly and attentive, though parking was a bit of a challenge. We ended up parking about 10 minutes away and walking over. Still, it was worth it for the experience.

“This is one of the best teas you can find! Great scones, although they should be served warm! Finger sandwiches, little cakes and pastries like mini lemon meringue, chocolate cake and sandwiches toppped with caviar! All very tasty and paired with beautiful China, with sugar cubes and various assorted teas. There should be a better selection of teas too... the staff is attentive and polite and the place is so elegant and historical too so quite memorable“

“Love this place! Cute hidden gem! Love getting my tea I usually go for a ready to go tea, nice iced tea with honey for me! I love trying all her teas she has so good! I love one from a highly caffeinated one to a calming one! She has lots of great sweet treats too! Love how it’s unique and small business owned! I call her and she has my tea already made for me!
