“Trying to make this review sound unbiased, but this place is AWESOME!!! The quality of the fish is very good, the sauces are flavorful, and the portion sizes are generous. They give you the option of sushi rice which is uncommon, even if it's just the white rice topped with mirin. They also stock potato chips and Kit Kats with those odd, yet fun flavors you see throughout Asia. The only note I have is that the atmosphere could stand for some livening up, but still a great place for a quick fish lunch.“

Stopped by Poki Tomik while passing through La Verne for a meeting and had such a great experience. Ricky helped me build my poke bowl and was incredibly kind, and friendly. I had a specific sauce request and even when the bottle wasn’t working, she went above and beyond to make it right.

It’s refreshing to come across a place with staff who are truly customer service driven. Thank you for hiring people like Ricky she made my visit a great one. I don’t live in the area, but I’d definitely stop by again!“

“We randomly stumbled upon this poke restaurant and it quickly became one of our favorites! The fish was incredibly fresh. The ahi and salmon was very high quality. I enjoyed how customizable the bowls were and how the sauces had the perfect amount of flavor and spices!

Portions were generous and the toppings were fantastic!

“Stumbled upon this spot. Food is so fresh and delicious ! The staff is also sweet and helpful. I got the pick a poke bowl with the salmon (sautéed). There are many options to choose for your build. My favorite part was the sauces. I got 3: ohana, mayo lava, shoyu dynamite. Highly recommend!“

“This is your go-to place for delicious to-go poke bowls. Pricing isn't bad, and everything is super fresh and gourmet. With the largest poke order you also get free miso soup! They also have amazing drinks and spam musubi. I've been a returning customer many times now and they have never disappointed me! You guys are my favorite poke place!“

Got a 2 protein poke bowl with 2 scoops of salmon. I asked for half rice and half salad, but wow there's a LOT of rice. My brother didn't mind since he likes rice, but I was a bit peeved. (EDIT: Oh, also the poke bowl is drowned in sauce. My brother loves eel sauce so he was glad, but just letting other customers know!)

The staff behind the counter was nice and was patient with me while I was asking my brother for the toppings and sauces that he wanted in his poke bowl. Sorry I took so long, at least there was no one in the store!

“I order takeout from here all the time because the food is very very very good. The service is always very excellent My only concern is where it's located. I usually get delivery because I don't like the location of where this is. If it wasn't located where it is I would definitely be going there quite often. “Always mine and my family's favorite poke place! Although Jimmy's Poke across from the Walmart is a lot closer to us, Mr. Poke is just top notch, may I say the GOAT. Jimmy's doesn't compete with Mr. Poke's freshness, portions, and atmosphere; Jimmy's is way too expensive for just 2 bowls of poke, and has gone downhill ever since they opened. Jimmy's menu was inconsistent and had quite a few stuff out of stock last time I was there in 2025. However, Mr. Poke has really stepped up with newer decor, quality consistency, and even adding on a stamping system for rewards that'll make us loyal customers come back for more.

Although not fully packed, their patrons sure have increased compared to the first time I tried them in 2020, where there was practically no line and only 1 employee. Not a long wait, but it can get a small line even on the weekdays, so it'll depend. But it's always clean and quiet with a few tables and seats. In addition, they added another employee to the line when I visited today 6 years later, demonstrating how they've grown in reputation.

Ultimately, I'm glad to see a small business growing and getting the recognition it deserves, so I highly recommend them to keep it up! 👏“
