“100% recommend this place! Don't allow the restaurant exterior to detour you - inside is modern, clean, food is impressive, and great quality. The service was prompt, friendly staff, and the food is super great. We had our food to go since the place is small, but don't let the size of restaurant fool you. We ordered the taco salad and tacos with any plate of Bone Marrow. The Bone Marrow plate is a must, it is so good! Order an entree and a plate of Bone Marrow. Prices are reasonable and quality is superb. Came from Auburn to try is place, worth the drive.“

“This is a colorful little strip mall spot with a great salsa bar and very friendly counter service. The salsa was fresh and there are several varieties to choose from. The wife got her favorite, Camerones a La diabla and the shrimp were clean, and simmered in a rich , red sauce. The rice and beans are perfect!! I had the shrimp taco fish taco plate. The tacos were loaded with a killer slaw, cilantro and onions, and a killer sauce. I was full off one taco but if you know me, you know I finished both. This place is 10/10 and if we lived closer, would be our go to Mexican spot.“

“It's a hole in the wall, but aren't those always the best places to get amazing tacos?I was referred to this restaurant specifically for the fish tacos and they didn't disappoint. The adobado (similar to an al pastor) was also phenomenal. One other important point to make is that in these times of excessive food prices (really everything prices), you can come here for a reasonably priced, extremely yummy meal. Hard to argue against that!“

“Having stumbled upon Tony's Tacos while out running errands one day, I finally had the opportunity to try their food on a rainy Sunday night. My dad, husband, and I came to Tony's tacos for dinner. The staff were very kind in explaining what some of their most popular items were - with their best seller being their quesabirria. I opted for the quesabirria tacos, which came in an order of three with a side of consommé. My husband ordered the quesabirria burrito while my dad ordered one chicken, one shrimp, and one Carne Asada taco. We all enjoyed the salsa bar - but their salsas do have a kick! The quesabirria tacos were delicious, but I was slightly disappointed by the lack of flavor in the consommé. The tacos by themselves were packed with meat and cheese - the meat was very tender and flavorful. But the consommé left me lacking with no real depth or flavor profile. My dad enjoyed his tacos, and my husband felt that the burrito was tasty, but the way it was assembled had the rice, beans, and meat in entirely different sections, and we're not well integrated.A few minor tweaks, and this could be a five star location for me.“

“Update 2/23/2024I am a little disturbed as they added kiosk order(now forced), however there was an employee liaison assisting people who may have trouble. My outlook on kiosks:*People take this as "Do it yourself as we are either not staffed to do this or other things are more important than you".*I don't see this as service oriented.*Menu is fragmented on a screen and buttons all over which makes it tough to order for most.*McDonald's has kiosks, but nobody uses them.Example: 70+ lady walks up and tries to order. She has issues and has a ton of questions, this takes time. In the meantime you have a line backed up plus another user at the same time, with kiosk issues. Now what you have is a problem. Another one of your employees needs to be brought over to help now. Now everything is backed up.I know what the answer will be from your establishment. " We have backup, we will then take order manually"I get it, less employees brings more money to the budget, but in the long run it will not as service to customers is compromised and a reputation will prevail in the long run.I did kindly ask the manager why kiosks. She replied and we spoke. What dates out to me about that conversation is that her words were "People don't want to work for $20 per hour". Strange comment. Oh well. I have given up going there. Done with coaching.Let's get back to good ole excellent customer service. Bring that vision back. This is sorely needed.End of latest update-------------------------------------Great place, great service. Most "Most of the employees" are great.Bring the salsa bar back please.Fish is always consistent and fair prices. Gourmet food for less and a ton of options.Good job California Fish Grill!“

“This place reminds me of Machetes Tacos in Denver - unusual but fabulous tacos made from interesting choices of fillings. The short rib tacos are my favorite choice. Service can be good or just fair. The servers are nice, but occasionally forgetful, even at slow times.“

“Enjoyed happy hour with some of my coworkers! All the ingredients are very fresh (you can tell) and are super delicious! The crispy Thai taco was spicy AF. I don't know what I was thinking when I ordered it, lol. I am such a wimp when it comes to spicy. The vibe is chill, and I will definitely come back. The weather was perfect for sitting outside, but I did notice that there's a pretty cool looking firepit for a cooler day or evening. This was a very nice experience today, and our waitress Naomi, was super sweet.“

“I stumbled upon this taco truck in my neighborhood after making a wrong turn with an empty stomach. I am so glad I did! The food was delicious, they give you huge portions and the workers are very nice. I will say the food is a little greasy but sometimes you just gotta treat yourself! I'll definitely be back.“

“This is my man's favorite place to eat... Lol he would literally eat here every meal every day lol... VERY good and favorable food ... The ONLY reason for the 2 star review for atmosphere is due to the incredibly sketchy homeless that hang out begging for money... Besides that amazing burritos and food!!!“

“The super duper nachos were awesome, the meat was seasoned great and the chips were great, I liked the fact they refried them before putting the nachos together. The sauces were a great addition as well. The mini street tacos get the same reviews. Everything was cooked to order right whre you can watch as well“

“Got the molcajete to go tonight and my wife got an enchilada and a taco, they were absolutely fantastic! Loved the chard jalapeno and green onions ontop of the grilled meets. Spicy salsa was bomb also. All of it was super flavorful and delicious.Would suggest to make your own corn tortillas; if you do, could easily be one of the best local Mexican food spots“
“This is my go to taco spot on the valley, I haven't found any other that I would prefer so far, but also haven't lived in the area too long. The green salsa is spicier than the red one. The torta was very yummy, also the only meet i have tried from here is the asada. The mulita was smaller than we excepted especially for almost $4 so this place can be little pricey. The workers are polite.“

“Good food...would recommend the carnitas wet burrito...awesome. Eating there, it can be a little crowded at times and table tops kindof feel sticky. Need to add salsa to the chip station. But still good and reasonably priced.Parking: Parking is plentiful, big shopping center that stretches all the way out to the main street.“

“Oh, my goodness, I have found heaven. I'm from San Diego and we eat lots of carne asada burritos. My problem is this, most Mexican shops here don't sell carna asada burritos. If you fall into this hole like I did, you are now saved. Not only do they sell carne asada burritos, but they cook everything fresh everyday. They cook their beans early in the morning, they make their salsa fresh everyday. It smells like home and I'm so happy to have found this restaurant. And just in case you need a drive thru, they have it. It's been a year here in Citrus Heights without a carne asada burrito and that's hard when you want good Mexican food. I am one happy girl now. I am happy to give them a 5 star rating. Shirley.“
“Today I had a Carne Asada burrito with carne asada, rice, beans, cheese, guacamole & pico de Gallo salsa. It arrived in just a bit over 5 minutes, was very yummy and pretty heavy and filling. This burrito only cost $10-well worth the cost-I would definitely recommend giving this place a shot if you are in the area and want some solid authentic Mexican food!!!“

“I stumbled across this place because I was craving birria tacos. I got the quesa birria tacos and they were hands down the best I’ve ever had. The restaurant is decorated so nice for Valentines and everything looked super clean. I went there twice within a week and had wonderful experience both times. The employees are super helpful and nice. Absolutely love this place!!“
