My husband and I LOVE coming here and bringing our friends and family. We’ve loved everything we’ve ordered here and haven’t had a single bad dish.
Their surf and turf tacos and pina nieto tacos are easily our favorites. Their salsa bar is expansive and has so many more options than a lot of the other restaurants we frequent. I especially love their jalapeño crema salsa and pickled onions.

I have visited their other location off Marconi for the last year and a half so I was SO hyped to see it open here. Same great service, same great food. I love their rice, beans, pastor, tacos, and enchiladas. Their sopes are a bit hard but I still like them! Lots of options for toppings and of course, chips and salsa. Taqueria La Perla Tapatia, newly rebranded from Rubio's Coastal Grill, offers a spacious and comfortable setting that is always clean. The restaurant has a good amount of customers but never seems crowded. The condiments bar is well stocked with salsas, chips, and some of the sweetest grilled onions. The salsa bar is expansive with many options, including jalapeño crema salsa and pickled onions. The food is among the best Americanized Mexican cuisine in the region and tastes home made. Menu items include fajitas (sizzling hot and flavorful), carnitas (nice sear), loaded nachos (more than two people could eat), albondigas soup (a huge bowl, fresh and piping hot), birria tacos (crispy and richly flavored), surf and turf tacos, pina nieto tacos, Shrimp Fajita (shrimp was tender and buttery, seasoning is just perfect), tripa, pastor (10/10, tender pork), and street tacos (chicken tacos with sauce rich in flavor). The rice is more of a butter rice than a Spanish rice, and along with the refried beans, are awesome. Drinks include Michelada, Margaritas (not made from a mix, could taste the mangoes), blueberry margarita (could taste fresh blueberries), and virgin michalada (refreshing). Service has been unfailingly pleasant and quick, and the customer service is on point. The prices are a reasonable value. The place has tons of seating and is so clean inside. They are constantly watching the salsa bar to make sure everything is topped off. Taqueria La Perla Tapatia comes highly recommended.
