“A month or two ago I noticed the Mexican restaurant on Natoma St across from City Hall had become Halal Grill Express. So I thought I’d give it a try.
WOW ?… what a find! I’ve been back every week since! The decor is very simple and casual and spotlessly clean. Not the place to take your date if you’re looking for a romantic atmosphere … but their food is soooo fresh, and tasty, and delicious. The owner is very friendly and upbeat and always smiling.
What it lacks in ambiance it more than makes up for in excellent fresh and tasty Middle Eastern food. Prices are very reasonable and the portions are generous…unless I’m really hungry… I almost always take a little home for a snack or even another meal. My new GoTo for a quick healthy meal in Folsom!“

“I stumbled upon this amazing Afghan street food truck randomly, and it was a delightful surprise. I tried their Afghan burger, and it was absolutely delicious. “I seriously cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. We were greated by a very friendly man who offered suggestions on the menu. He pleasantly asked if we were happy with our food. The food is AMAZING. I got a gyro wrap, my husband got a gyro platter. The portions were huge and absolutely delicious. My husband eats more food then you could imagine and it made him stuffed while not sacrificing quality or flavor. The meat just melted in your mouth and the flavor was out of this world. We got two baklavas and I cannot even explain how good they are.“

“It's been so difficult, post-pandemic, to find good, quality, delicious food places. This place gives me hope. Hands down some of the BEST food I've had at a kabob restaurant. No exaggeration. It's clear they use quality ingredients, and know how to cook. I legit had an emotional moment with my chicken kabob plate lol. The gyros are super yummy too. Definitely coming back, and definitely recommending them to anyone looking for a good gyro or kabob!“

“Absolutely TORE THIS PASTA UP ! Went there with my firefighter boyfriend and bestfriend and they got the Creamy Cajan Chicken and I got the Spaghetti Bolognese ??? The lady working there all by her self at 7pm and got us in and out within 15 minutes. GO HERE for some TASSSTYYYY pasta and $$$$ FRIENDLY ! lets not forget the SOFT and BUTTERY garlic bread ??“

“Angry is great if you want hot. X-Hot has heat with flavor. I get one of each every time I go. All the other flavors else could be served to children. I sign their little waiver each time but it definitely isn’t hot enough to write home about. Chickens shouldn’t eat Chicken. Great food and Staff is quite friendly.“
