“My friends saw some IG promos of this place and we decided to check it out.
Decent location off of Folsom Blvd/65th, tiny parking lot but plenty of street parking.
We dined as, as we often do when grabbing pizza for dinner. We arrived at 6pm and were the only ones there. Don't mind, whole place to ourselves. When we walked in, the two staff members were sitting in the dining area to see us arrive and promptly assisted us with our order. First order was a half chicken tikka and half Italian garlic combo. Second order was half tandoori chicken and also half Italian combo.
While we waited for our food, we checked out the decor and it's a nice spot with lots of seating and 3 large TVS.
Wall of tap beer for you to choose from and I really like the Bollywood movie quotes on the front wall. Saw one of my fav quotes up there too! One of the TVs was playing a movie and the other had on music videos. We heard neither. It was dead silent in there, which was a downer. Was hoping for some lively music.
Food was BUSSIN! The tandoori chicken pizza was a 10/10! Masala ranch is hella good. Chicken tikka, which is normally my fav at other Indian pizza spots was maybe a 6/10. I give the Italian garlic combo a solid 5.
We will definitely be back. But maybe next time we will come later at night. This place had a sign out front that they are open from 10AM - 6AM!! Wild. I can definitely see this place being popular with the late night college crowa.“

“Peeked in some time ago and it I didn't quite trust the ambiance. It always seemed not busy. Food imagery posted outside and on the wall menu aren't the most appealing. Also can't see the kitchen so I wasn't sure if it was a spot that simply microwaves pre prepped food. I was pleasantly surprised when I stopped by when my usual spot was swamped with conference attendees. I got the Chicken on Rice. Excellent quality of cuts with no gristle or tendons in sight, fluffy rice, crispy fresh greens. Fantastic flavor explosions. They use compostable takeout containers. A+ would recommend.“

“Came here hungry after work and after reading reviews I decided to try it out cuz I was really craving chicken. It’s located INSIDE a gas station which kinda threw me off like Alice in wonderland style but the staff were so friendly and welcoming! They had my favorite Lemon pepper and Buffalo for my man (which turned out amazing) and I didn’t even have to wait long. 10/10“

Though we weren’t aware of how things would change with the new ownership, The food has always been good and the environment has always been great. We have always experienced great customer service after learning about the new ownership.
Was a little skeptical about the change of ownership, but after trying this place out we can guarantee that the taste has not changed one bit. The place is super clean. We will continue to be customers!“

Here I had the traditional and athletic Qabli Palaw in which lamb and rice are simmered together which gives it the true flavor of Qabli, which is hard to find. I left a tip on the Wednesday of finals, and boom. I got to try a small tray of fries for free along with my food. Ong they didn't have to do that but the fries were PRETTY GOOD. ngl.

“Afghan Fiji Halal Market is one of my favorite places for authentic Afghan food and groceries. The store is clean, well-stocked, and the staff is always friendly and welcoming. Their food is absolutely delicious—the kababs are flavorful, perfectly cooked, and some of the best I’ve had. The Qabuli Palaw is outstanding, with tender meat, perfectly seasoned rice, and just the right amount of sweetness from the raisins and carrots. The Chapati Naan is the best—always fresh, soft, and full of authentic flavor. They also serve what I consider some of the best pizza in town—fresh, tasty, and always satisfying.

What really sets this place apart is the value. Their prices are very reasonable compared to other markets, and the quality of both the food and groceries is excellent. “I have been a regular at Watan Halal Market and they never disappoint! Their fresh calf meat is always top quality, clean, tender and perfect for cooking. The meat I recently bought (pictured below) is a great example of the freshness and care they put into their products. We have also tried several local pizza places, including Twist, but my kids always prefer Watan’s pizza. It’s flavorful, well made, and perfect for family nights.
