“Peeked in some time ago and it I didn't quite trust the ambiance. It always seemed not busy. Food imagery posted outside and on the wall menu aren't the most appealing. Also can't see the kitchen so I wasn't sure if it was a spot that simply microwaves pre prepped food. I was pleasantly surprised when I stopped by when my usual spot was swamped with conference attendees. I got the Chicken on Rice. Excellent quality of cuts with no gristle or tendons in sight, fluffy rice, crispy fresh greens. Fantastic flavor explosions. They use compostable takeout containers. A+ would recommend.“

“I went with my nephews and sister in-laws. The place was clean, the cashier was friendly and super helpful and knowledable about the spice levels. I was scared and went with one medium and one mild. The medium wasn't bad at the all. I may try a medium and hot next time. I believe my nephews got super hot and the cashier told us that was around ghost pepper spice 😬 their mouths were burning 🥵 I wont go too spicy because then you cant enjoy your food and taste it. The little sliders are filling and comes with fries and sauce. It's delicious. And dont forget to order a drink! They do NOT come with the meals you order.... and their ice is AMAZING, small little crunchy ice.“

“My friends saw some IG promos of this place and we decided to check it out.
Decent location off of Folsom Blvd/65th, tiny parking lot but plenty of street parking.
We dined as, as we often do when grabbing pizza for dinner. We arrived at 6pm and were the only ones there. Don't mind, whole place to ourselves. When we walked in, the two staff members were sitting in the dining area to see us arrive and promptly assisted us with our order. First order was a half chicken tikka and half Italian garlic combo. Second order was half tandoori chicken and also half Italian combo.
While we waited for our food, we checked out the decor and it's a nice spot with lots of seating and 3 large TVS.
Wall of tap beer for you to choose from and I really like the Bollywood movie quotes on the front wall. Saw one of my fav quotes up there too! One of the TVs was playing a movie and the other had on music videos. We heard neither. It was dead silent in there, which was a downer. Was hoping for some lively music.
Food was BUSSIN! The tandoori chicken pizza was a 10/10! Masala ranch is hella good. Chicken tikka, which is normally my fav at other Indian pizza spots was maybe a 6/10. I give the Italian garlic combo a solid 5.
We will definitely be back. But maybe next time we will come later at night. This place had a sign out front that they are open from 10AM - 6AM!! Wild. I can definitely see this place being popular with the late night college crowa.“

“This location has the best fried chicken in the area. The food is always fresh and hot and crispy. Sometimes they run daily specials. As I’ve heard the staff say before “ we have whole foods quality with Walmart prices” this location really does have the lowest pricing. You can’t get a Freshly made chicken sandwich for 4.99 anywhere else.“

Though we weren’t aware of how things would change with the new ownership, The food has always been good and the environment has always been great. We have always experienced great customer service after learning about the new ownership.

The Chicken 65 was perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, and the Apollo Fish had just the right amount of spice kick. Each dish was seasoned to perfection and served piping hot. “I have been a regular at Watan Halal Market and they never disappoint! Their fresh calf meat is always top quality, clean, tender and perfect for cooking. The meat I recently bought (pictured below) is a great example of the freshness and care they put into their products. We have also tried several local pizza places, including Twist, but my kids always prefer Watan’s pizza. It’s flavorful, well made, and perfect for family nights. Highly recommend Watan Halal Market for both your halal meat needs and a delicious pizza treat!“

“My order came out very quickly; I had it in under less than 5 minutes. I ordered the lamb rice platter, and found the price to be very decent, and ultimately the food was very good. The restaurant was also clean and well-lit.

However, I chose to order take-out, as I was on my way home from a flight, and I didn’t check my order before I left. My order was missing the advertised pita, and I am 90% certain I was given the white sauce instead of the specified tzatziki.

So now, I am left with this portion of hummus without a vehicle for to eat it with, and the lamb — while tasty — has a strange, ranch-like taste to it, when I was hoping for something different.“
