service is great. Wine is equally as wonderful. I would've never known the Sierras had such good wine. We met the owner and he was equally social and educational. Definitely worth a stop in if your visiting Grass Valley.
This is a wonderful winery and tasting room! These are not your normal NorCal wines.Rob has used some amazing Italian grapes to create blends and varietals you won’t find anywhere else.My group did not have one taste we didn’t love! Totally inexpensive tasting fee, but that won’t matter because you are sure to buy a bottle or 6!

We stopped by today and had a wonderful time. We used to live in wine country in Washington state and would go out tasting pretty much every Saturday. The things we always looked for were good wine, knowledgeable staff, fair prices and a tasting room policy that made sense. Our experience at Avanguardia was just like that.
