“This was the first time trying WezzArepas and it did not disappoint! The arepas were perfectly crisp and cheesy with a hint of sweet! The empanada was flavorful with a generous amount of chicken. Lastly, the Salchipapas could easily feed 2 people. It was generously topped with lots of flavorful ingredients. We will def be back!“

“I was looking for a good taco place and I came across Covyd Tacos on Yelp and decided to try them. Unaware that they were just serving on tables under a shade during the evenings, I gave them a try and ordered asada and cabeza burritos. I became a regular after that night and they practically knew me by name. Their burritos are very delicious and their servings are generous. They also had quesadillas, and a variety of tacos. They also have Al Pastor which is really tasty. They do not accept credit cards but they accept Venmo payments. I now miss their tacos and burritos since I was only in La Puente for 5 weeks but would be their customer again if I go back to La Puente, California again.“

“I stopped by this taco truck after my usual taco stand wasn’t open—and I’m glad I gave it a try. I ordered the buche, carnitas, pastor, and cabeza tacos. The carnitas and cabeza were the best—juicy, flavorful, and cooked just right.

I also had the carne asada fries, which were hearty and satisfying. The guacamole in the carne asada fries is seriously addictive, and their salsa, along with the pickled jalapeños and red onions, added a fresh, tangy kick.

At $2.50 per taco, the prices are reasonable for the quality. I’ll definitely be coming back.

“Sumo taco is excellent. Quality of meat and fried cheese shell is cooked to perfection. Sauces are light but not watery with excellent flavor. The green sauce is spicier than the red. The Half & Half nachos and fries were AMAZING. Again, the quality of the meats (I loved the asada thr best) and the perfectly cooked fries and homemade chips were perfect. Nice size plate as well.“

“I came across Taco Nice after work for lunch and it hit the spot. Red salsa was better but hot and I did like the grill tortillas. Grilled onions were delicious next time I’ll ask for more. They only had Jamaica agua available but it was still real good.“

• Lengua: Not diced, but served as a thick slab with the perfect balance of flavor and chew. If the world ended tomorrow, this would be on my last meal list.
• Nachos with everything + carne asada: The asada, tomatoes, onions, jalapeños, and cheese hit perfectly with the round nacho chips. Add the creamy salsa verde and every bite is on point.

“I come here a lot with my husband and friends but today was very disappointing. I ordered a torta de asada and was very upset. 5 pieces of black aguacate and half a piece of tomato for the entire torta. Than my husband ordered some tacos and the meat wasn’t seasoned and half of the meat was burned. “Very comfortable place to be in. Everyone was relaxed and you could hear the staff in the kitchen communicating getting the orders out. They have good lighting, a larger modern menu board with a great selection. They had light hearted music playing and a big tv to watch the Dodger games. I was surprised to see Birria on the menu so had to get that for sure! I think I will may this my goto spot a couple days a week so I can eat better for less and no dishes to wash.“

Also a side of potatoe salad, its chunky with black olive pieces, egg pieces and quite creamy. I don't know the recipe but it's good and home made.Giant barrel smoker. They park at the cross streets of Francisquito blvd. and are off of Puente Ave. (Look past the O'Reilly Auto parts) Follow the smoky smell!“

“Tacos Los Carnales is where it's AT!! My family and I keep coming back for more because we couldn't ask for a better meal for about $10 each, depending on what you get! I usually get the vampiros de camarones a la diabla and they are perfect ?? Tastes like a homemade meal with handmade tortillas and delicious salsas, not to mention grilled onions, jalapeños, beans, and consome to self serve. It's a good meal for any occasion! They open after 6 though, so it's only for dinner occasions ? (PS. Ate the vampiros too fast and forgot to take a picture next time!

Vegetarian options: There are plenty of quesadillas and beans to go around! ? There's a veggie burrito as well! I'm pescatarian myself, so I opt for shrimp. But worth a stop for the quality??

“I tend to get my tacos to go. Al pastor tacos are bomb. The salsas are pretty good too. I've been a frequent customer, but I also explore other taco spots. Usually pretty quick. Just that where they posted has a lot of activity. No sodas. Just aguas Frescas. Which are decent as well.“

They have a lot of picnic tables and a gazebo to sit under there are two parking lots and they have a wading pool for the kids and they also have a place called The hitting zone which is the batting cages that are there that you can rent out to perfect your batting your swing whatever it's a very nice park off of Florence and pioneer actually it's pioneer in Lakeland it's right across from St Pius X Catholic Church“

I love the options for the Salsas, they have green salsa mild (for the kids) and a darker green that is more spicy. They also have other options if you are craving nachos or fries. If you are in the San Gabriel area, give it a try, you won't be disappointed. The Aguas frescas are also good. I love Jamaica, and my kids' favorite is the Horchata.“
