“We were looking for the Africa Restaurants yesterday. They both didn't make it through the pandemic. Upon one places, it's was church and selling vegan meatloaf plates. Small Bean pies for $5. Yall I am telling you. This is and was delicious and I can't tell I am not eating meat OMG! ? Africa church had no name on it. I surely will be returning and find out more information. My friend went back and got our plates. Happy Holidays to everyone and to stay safe & healthy.Vegetarian options: This is a All Vegan Meatloaf plate.“
“when i pick up an order from kendejah, i always want to do a happy dance! i used to stop myself for fear of looking silly. but once, i saw a grown man pick up his meal and shout, "YUMMYYYYY!" as he got in the car. so now i don't feel weird for showing how much i love this food.favorites:potato greens (mon, tues, thurs, sat)eggplant (wed)collard greens (sun)goat soup w/ fufu (every day except sat)“
“I’ve searched a long time for an amazing Nigerian restaurant and finally found it at Ruth’s Buka! We had the meat pie (to die for! Definite try!!!) fufu and egusi soup with chicken (absolute must!), spicy beef suya (yummy)!, and puff puff (yes, yes!!!) we would make the four+ hour trip from home to come back here again! We also took home the kuli kuli and chin chin! Such a cute place and lovely staff! Lol they were quite surprised that a white grill ee so much about Nigerian cuisine!“
“I love African food, particularly Ethiopian and Somalian food. Recently I started branching out and trying other African cuisine.Meat pie - good but dry. Was premade then not heated very warm. It still tasted good but maybe I'd ask them to heat it up more.Tomato stew with goat - spicy - came with fufu - delicious. We soaked up every last drop.To the guy who was challenged by the texture of fufu, maybe you ate it just by itself? It's much better soaked in stew. Tastes like mashed potatoes with sauce instead of gravy. I think that, like white rice, it's meant to be a base for your entrees, not a side dish to be eaten alone (correct me if I'm wrong).Plantains - delicious - crispy and dry rather than moist as you would get in Caribbean/Latin food - but in a good way (I like both styles).Suup! soursop soda - reminded me of the solution kids use to blow bubbles, only sweet instead of soapy.I don't understand the complaints about small portions. The portions may look small by volume, but like Indian food, it is deceptively filling. The above was enough to make both of us full, and we have big appetites. Plus we had not eaten all day so we were starving by dinnertime.“
