“Lao/Thai Cuisine family favorite! Small business owners who serve their heart and soul into their customers!

We came for New Years Eve as our plan to BBQ got ruined due to the rain that day.

We started with some hot tea, sodas and even Thai tea.

We ordered a little bit of everything and shared in between all 10 of us.

• Egg Rolls were extra crispy (exactly how we love them) and filling was yummy.
• Chicken & Beef Pad Thai which were perfectly sautéed and with a squeeze of lime on top was perfect!
• Lamb Curry was a hit on our table. Just like it came in; it was gone easily! The curry sauce with white rice is a must try!
• Salmon Curry was another hit. Grandma loved it! And if she’s happy we were happy!
• Crab Fried Rice was really good and it was big chunks of crab. Flavors brought me back to the street food of Chiang Mai. A lot of places lack on that detail.
• Pho Lao Style was delicious and with that extra lime squeeze was even better. Lots of noodles and beef to go through. Very filling. Had to order it since it was so cold outside.
• Spicy Eggplant was a little too spicy for me but family enjoyed it!
• We also had 3 other veggie dishes I can’t remember the names which were devoured very quickly!

For dessert:

• Mango Sticky Rice was okay but nothing special. Mango was perfectly ripe in a way it wasn’t too ripe if you know what I mean.
• Fried Banana with Strawberry Ice Cream. Delicious! Dessert is huge!

“Nice little date spot with a cozy vibe. Food was good and the service was quick and friendly throughout the night.

We tried:
• Pad Thai Tofu — recommend but their Tofu isn’t deep fried like some other places. Maybe Inquire or push for this if it’s important.
• Mushroom Dumplings 🥟 — also recommend
• Mango Sticky Rice — decent; not the best I’ve had, but still enjoyable
• Deep Fried Veggie Rolls — pretty good
• Thai Iced Tea — solid and refreshing

Overall, we had a nice experience. The food was tasty, service was attentive, and it’s a great casual spot for a date night.“

“I'm not a fan of spicy food, but I am a fan of flavorful and delicious food! This place is the real deal, and worth EVERY dime spent. I can customize my food by asking for nothing spicy... and they comply! However, I must say that I'm addicted to the Crab Fried Rice!!! I don't have to customize any of it. I was even brave enough to order the Tom Tom soup which is Hot and Sour soup. This soup is a tasty medicinal soup for any stomach issues or cold and flu issues. What I like the most about this soup 🍲 is that my feet are dancing while I am basking in this flavorful dish You owe it to yourself to get wrapped up in the warmth and and flavorful aroma while healing your body and soul. “I definitely enjoyed the Mango Fried rice dish along with the garlic noodles. Had Thai Iced Tea, which is always a treat. I did call this order in for pick up. When I got there I had to wait a minute, because they were busy but it wasn't long. They gave me an extra Thai iced tea on the house, I didn't need it. Yet it shows the type of business I'm eating at. The ambiance is very welcoming. The art work on the walls of the culture is beautiful. Would recommend friends/family to come and try this place out.“

Was literally like $35. Pretty cheap for really great food I’ve seen worse prices lol

“Bua Luang is hands down the BEST Thai restaurant in the entire Bay Area, not just in Albany! I have been enjoying Thai cuisine all around the Bay for over 25 years. My family and I have Thai food at least 2-3 times a week, so we have tried many (and I mean MANY) Thai restaurants over the decades, and without a doubt we all agree that Bua Luang offers the freshest, tastiest, and most delicately prepared Thai cuisine of all. Every dish is packed with the freshest ingredients. The flavors and textures are amazing. Restaurants in Thailand don’t make a Pad Thai as delicious as the Pad Thai at Bua Luang—believe us, we have tried Pad Thai all over Thailand and we still longed for the Pad Thai at Bua Luang. The chef at this restaurant is a culinary master!

Not only are the dishes at this restaurant superb, the atmosphere is serene and delightful. The indoor space is clean, cozy, and modern with soft old-world touches and whimsical lighting. The ambiance music is very pleasant. It’s not too loud, and it’s easy to talk with and hear others in your party. If you choose to dine outside, you are greeted by the most beautiful outdoor seating area on all of Solano Avenue. The space is gorgeous and inviting. “The Noodle is a fantastic Thai restaurant that brings authentic Thai food to Berkeley. It's small and casual, making it a really great place to bring your friends. It's also delicious and affordable, making the food addictive. My family and I have eaten here many times for all those reasons.

The menu at the Noodle is extensive, so much so that it is hard to pick a favorite. I've been here enough to summarize the following menu highlights. The fried spring rolls, fried calamari, and larb are the best appetizers I've had in this town. The Pad Thai and Pad Se Ew here are fresh-tasting, delicious noodles you've got to try. If you can handle a little spice, then try the Pad Kee Mao as well. If you like fried chicken, the fried rice with fried chicken and the crispy mango chicken are incredible! And I would also recommend a tase of the Massaman Gai curry before you top everything off with the fried ice cream or the sticky sweet rice with mango.

If you haven't tried it yet, I would definitely try it. I know I'll be back for more!“

“I recently visited Elephant Thai Cuisine and was blown away by how good everything was. The flavors were bold, authentic, and beautifully balanced exactly what you hope for in great Thai cuisine. The mango sticky rice was perfectly cooked with just the right mix of sweetness and tang, and the Green Curry had a rich, aromatic depth that made it hard to stop eating.

The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. The atmosphere is cozy without feeling crowded, and the food came out quickly, fresh, and piping hot.

Overall, this is easily one of the best Thai spots I’ve tried. If you’re craving delicious, well-prepared Thai food with fantastic service, this place is absolutely worth a visit!“

“While staying across the road at the Mariott, I decided to walk around the shopping center and stumbled upon Tha Siam. I pulled up their website while standing outside, and looked at the "Chef's Suggestions" list. I thought the Grilled Short Rib with Garlic Noodle dish sounded good, so I went for it. Everyone inside was extremely friendly to me and polite while I placed my order and waited for a short while. I like my food spicy, but I forgot to say anything about wanting extra heat while ordering. The gentleman at the register said he could include hot sauces for me, and I thanked him. I got my food to go as I planned to walk back to the hotel to eat, but when I opened it 5 minutes later in my room I was not disappointed. The meal was beautifully put together, and it was delicious. I squeezed the orange over the marinated beef, and I added the extra hot sauces: fantastic! I highly recommend trying Tha Siam if you are in the area.“

They have a noodle soup with wontons that is my fave ...but their curries, pan-fried noodles, beef and vegetable dishes, and especially their yummy smoothies are always just what the doctor ordered. Great appetizers too ...spicy wontons and curry puffs FTW!“
