“5-star alert! My wife surprised me with this delicious Tunisian restaurant on Father’s Day! It was like an exotic trip to Mediterranean North Africa. The servers were good and the owner was super friendly and helpful! We had prawns, fish, lamb, cauliflowers, and the infamous Hand of Fatima. Everything was delicious, with unique flavors and beautifully presented. The sauces were so unique and flavorful, we had 3 orders of bread as we want to enjoy more of the flavors in every dish!“

“My visit to the new gastropub in the neighborhood was a memorable one. From the moment I walked in, I could tell that the atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming. I ordered a Coca-Cola, which was served promptly with a healthy dose of ice, just the way I like it. But the real standout was the Fried Chicken Sandwich - it was cooked to perfection, with crispy skin and tender meat, and the flavors were out of this world. I can't wait to come back and try more of their delicious dishes.“

“Flaming Pasta — La Tijera Blvd, Westchester, Los Angeles

I’ve seen Flaming Pasta on social media several times, so I finally decided to stop by and give it a try. I ordered the Cajun Pasta, which comes with penne pasta, shrimp, bell peppers, and a creamy Cajun sauce that reminded me of Alfredo with a little tomato mixed in.

You can choose your spice level, from no spice to spicy. I went with medium, and the heat was very subtle. You could definitely taste a little kick, but nothing overwhelming. Then again, I’m Mexican, so my tolerance for spicy food might be a little different! 😂

The pasta was cooked perfectly, the sauce was delicious, and the portion was satisfying. Based on the pasta alone, I was impressed. I enjoyed it enough that I plan on coming back to try some of their other pasta dishes.

Now, let's talk about the price and a couple of things that could use improvement. The pasta was around $18, which is a little pricey, but I felt it was worth it. However, they charged me another $3 for what they called garlic bread or garlic toast, and honestly, that was a disappointment. It was basically a piece of toast with hardly any flavor. I couldn't taste garlic, cheese, or much of anything else. Definitely not worth the $3. My advice? Skip the bread altogether!

I also ordered some Kool-Aid, which was good, but come on, it's Kool-Aid. Nothing particularly special there.

One thing to keep in mind is that although this is a quick, casual pasta spot, expect to wait around 20 minutes for your food. Personally, I didn't mind because the pasta was worth the wait.

Overall, I recommend Flaming Pasta if you're craving a delicious bowl of pasta. The Cajun Pasta was flavorful, creamy, and satisfying. Just skip the overpriced garlic toast, and you'll probably walk away happy.

“This is a speciality poultry and beef meat market, specializing in chicken, beef and turkey. The ground chicken is the absolute best. Its available in mild or spicy and both are exceptional. Try the links and patties. The service is no nonsense quick, fast and efficient. I love Mama's Chicken.“

“Social has very good quality food. There's options for everyone. Price point is quite high, as to be anticipated by hotel restaurants. My only complaint: We have been attending a convention at the LAX Marriott for 8 years now and one would hope that the leadership at the hotel would be well aware than their restaurants will be significantly impacted when there's now 3000+ people there for the weekend. The staff does their absolute best but at the end of the day, there aren't enough of them and the kitchen staff clearly struggles to get the meals plated up in a reasonable amount of time. So if you plan on eating at Social, plan on allowing more time than you think you need and for heaven sake be patient with your restaurant staff. They are doing their best.“
