“5-star alert! My wife surprised me with this delicious Tunisian restaurant on Father’s Day! It was like an exotic trip to Mediterranean North Africa. The servers were good and the owner was super friendly and helpful! We had prawns, fish, lamb, cauliflowers, and the infamous Hand of Fatima. Everything was delicious, with unique flavors and beautifully presented. The sauces were so unique and flavorful, we had 3 orders of bread as we want to enjoy more of the flavors in every dish!“

“YO! This pasta. OH MY GOSH. I got the angel hair with the pink sauce and … it was one of the best things to grace my lips. It. Was. So. Good. “Beautiful beachside cafe and retail shop located on Pier Ave in a historic building.. they have a beautiful patio and also a small dining room inside. Enter left for cafe, right for retail store.. excellent baked goods, sandwiches, salads, and plenty of great beverage selections. The egg white breakfast burrito was veggies rather than the typical breakfast meats and it was great. The chicken breast sandwich on the buckwheat bread was toasted to perfection and super tasty. The atmosphere is very charming beachside historic and reminds you of the age of Hermosa Beach.. original flooring and trim have been preserved from one of the oldest original buildings in town. The service was friendly and efficient with honest recommendations and everyone came out fast and perfecto even though they were nice and busy on a Saturday. Gum Tree is a great place to sit and relax, have a nice meal or a snack, shop for cool and unique housewares, gifts and beach related treasures. Located on the south side of Pier Ave between Monterey and Manhattan.“

“This is one of our favorite spots in the south bay! We love it so much we actually had our wedding reception at the rooftop. Food and service are always great and Andrew has been fantastic at taking care of our guests on our wedding day. Love their Iris Azul, El Pistachio and all the mezcal drinks. As for food - die for tortillas and decadent Chimichangas!“

“Visited the bar with friend as staying in Hermosa. We are soccer fans and the barmen all looked after us by ensuring we could watch our teams in the Champions League. \nPlenty of TVs, friendly staff, drinks well priced, tasty snacks and bar meals. All the bar people were friendly, helpful, good fun and made us customers feel good. Would definitely go there again if in the area. Thanks for looking after us.“

“Food was really good and everything tasted fresh. The spot itself was nice and clean when we went. Service was smooth and friendly. We ordered a mix of rolls and sushi — Bora Bora roll, soft shell crab roll, Snow Cone roll, TNT roll, plus albacore, yellowtail, and mackerel sushi. The Bora Bora and Snow Cone rolls were definitely my favorites. The yellowtail and mackerel sushi also stood out and tasted fresh. They had some solid deals going on too, like buy one roll get one half off, buy two get one free, and drink specials including alcohol, which made it feel worth it overall. I also like that they have two locations close to me, so it’s convenient if you’re in the area. Overall a good spot if you’re craving sushi and want something reliable“

“I love this local Italian restaurant. Monica, Tony, Angel and Karen are wonderful and the pastas are homemade and delicious. Good service and cocktails. Reasonably priced. Big portions. Yummy hot bread and olive tempenade to dip it in. Also live music on Friday and Saturdays old school Sinatra with John. We go at least once a week. Love this place!“

“We were in for a SoFi NFL game. We hit the Manhattan Beach location Sat night ( lively college scene). Sunday brunch for Foorball games. Sat downstairs for brunch. Met the mgr. Jack who was most personable and conversational, a Boston transplant! Rooftop featured Amy behind the bar, also a pleasure.

“Warm, hands on and personalized service. A Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant…Food Made from Scratch, fresh, unique, different, and affordable. Highly recommended! The red onion focaccia bread with herb and Parmesan butter, added Burrata - best- seller, a must. The 3 day brined smoked fried chicken-different taste, with soy and Chiles, a must!!!The Peruvian pork belly with sweet potato , Criolla and crispy quinoa , love it! And the Grilled NY steak with green garlic chimichurri, chorizo aioli and pommes pont neuf, thick cut fries…my son prefers over the fried chicken.“
