“Food was amazing. It was our first visit so we went easy and ordered nachos and burritos and, gotta say I was disappointed... That we didn't order something else too. The burritos were some of the best we've had. Perfectly cooked, meat was tender, perfect touch of lime, beautifully seasoned. Only thing holding them from a 5 star is the tap water tasting... Like tap water, but, it did give an authentic 3rd world experience.“

“Tried a fish taco from El Asadero Taco Shop in Turlock, CA and had a great experience. The food tasted fresh and well-made, and the service was very friendly.
This visit was from a while ago, but I still wanted to share because it left a good impression. I’d definitely come back to try more items on the menu.“

“First time trying it out on a recommendation from a few people.
They do have a decent salsa bar (cabbage salsa is the superior salsa 🤤) which was a highlight of one of the recommendations.
The food left a little to be desired, I got the two item combo the tamale was very tasty, the red sauce had a good kick but it didn't linger or take away from the flavor. The sope however was a little lack-luster. I got it with pastor, which was not like any pastor I've ever had so that was disappointing. The masa was tough and flavorless. I love that they use romaine and not just iceberg but it was missing that crunch. Points for the rice and beans, though, they were very flavorful!
My husband got the taco salad, and it was pitiful, huge shell barely half way filled up. He was also bummed at the pastor.
He also said the shell tasted like dish soap😬
Overall- more positives than negatives and I'd definitely come back to try other stuff. I saw other plates that people in our group ordered and I was definitely intrigued!
The chips were delicious, all the salsa is a fun addition, and their margarita options are fantastic!“

Kid-friendliness: Family business atmosphere.
Wheelchair accessibility: It's all flat surfaces, but, they aren't all smooth.“
“Excellent taco truck! Super tasty burritos and the birra taco with the handmade taco was sooo good!!! I really like that they serve their food with fresh cool cucumber slices, pickled red onion and lemon. The seating area was also very nice and clean. Looking forward to going back another time!“

“When the owner used to cook for this restaurant, it was some of the best Mexican food I ever ate in my life. Now that she's not cooking it's just okay. I ate there a couple of nights ago for my 39th anniversary. My family was happy so it's okay now, it used to be bomb“

“This place is so, so good! Very authentic, at least from what I remember as a child in Mexico, watching and tasting the yummy pork softly boiling in a cauldron of lard. ☺️ Fresh tender sheets of cueritos come out first, then the buche, and finally the carnitas! THIS place is JUST like that- in taste -and I love it!! Service is super. The couple that owns it is very friendly. They answered all our questions (husband is on a strict diet; minding his macros n’ all) and made suggestions on menu items. Everything we’ve ordered has been amazing. We highly recommend this eatery to all our friends.“

“Taco truck still the best. Cheap and fills up your tummy at lesser price than the expensive fancy Mexican restaurants all round and definitely not the taco bell. Service is good except that I am always assumed hispanic so they always talk to me in spanish. No offense but I do look like hispanic and my name is definitely spanish. Thanks Spain! No hablas espanol amigos but buenos dias hermanos hermanas! :)“

“El Jardin in Turlock is truly a gem that never disappoints! The ambiance is enchanting, featuring charming houses transformed into a delightful restaurant, with stunning flowers adorning the patio and walkways. The food is consistently delicious, and the friendly staff make every visit special. This spot has become a favorite of mine, and I’ve introduced many friends to its hidden charm.
I usually order the chicken fajitas, paired with a refreshing water. Every time, the meal is cooked to perfection, making it a perfect choice after indulging in their amazing chips, salsa, and bean dip. The salsa here is my absolute favorite—it's a must-try! I’ve spent many memorable Mother’s Days at El Jardin, and each visit just reaffirms why this place holds a special place in my heart. Highly recommend!“
“I used door dash to order my meal for lunch! Not only was it delicious but the oven baking method was a real changer! Don't even get me started on the agua fresca they offer! So refreshing and tasty! Wish they had horchata but the Pina they offer is a better substitute! Will definitely order from here again!“
“Bomb pastor tacos and awesome deal. Waited for the suadero, owner gave me a free one to try and he said it might need a little longer. Then he gave me another extra one to go with our order once the meet was tender, crisp and freaking delicious. Thank you G.“

“Aguachile is made to order, rare find in the valley. Not oceany at all, you can taste the quality. I asked for it to be extra spicy and it was superb and limey, the owners son is a ray of sunshine, he was super friendly and gave great recommendations. I have came a few times for their pescatarian dishes Togo and it has always been a 10/10 for flavor and they always accommodate my needs which is super appreciated. Staff is always friendly and service is amazing! I recommend them to all my friends and family:))“

“Bought: 3 tacos asada, no onions, no cilantro (yes, I know... blasphemy!) Short Version: "Par" tacos that improved to "good" after applying lemon, for good price. Long Review: Tortillas on the tacos are on the smaller side of normal, doubled up as usual, and has a corn-ier flavor. Meat is finely chopped, and tastes alright on its own, with occasional chunks of fat blended in (which could be a plus or a minus, depending on your tastes. See picture). Sauce on its own is alright, and moderately spicey. The portion is a dollup in the middle (see picture). I feel like the tacos with more sauce were better, so I'm inclined to suggest to the owner to slightly increase the amount on the tacos. However, it would also make them a bit spicier, so might turn off more sensitive customers. (Keep in mind, this is without cilantro or onions) On my first taco, I tried it unaltered and had nothing particularly positive or negative to say. It was ok, if a bit on the bland side for what I would expect. For my second taco, I grabbed a slightly saucier one and this time generously applied lemon to it. This taco was much better, really livened it up. I still am not sure I would put it at the best of the best, but for $1.50, I was pretty happy. For the third, I added the jalapeno into the mix, and liked the additional kick, but it had less of the lemon juice (used much on #2) and salsa, and that flavor didn't come out quite as much. Overall, about even with #2. Two lemons would have been a good idea. Service was part, although truck operator (owner?) acted a little odd (anxious? Confused? Suspicious?) About me taking pictures and such. Seemed ok after I explained it was for Google. I didn't use the radishes. No comment on any other menu items (burritos, quesadillas, etc), because I didn't buy them.“

“It's pretty decent. Food quality seems pretty good, portions were generous enough to be plenty filling and value was pretty decent, and the staff were friendly and efficient. I wouldn't really want to dine in here, the seating and eating environment isn't great and it's pretty tight, but a good takeout option for sure.“

“I order two things here. Burrito bowl and Nachos. Both are so good and loaded with all the good stuff. Best part is the staff is always so friendly. They make me feel like one of their friends. I'm sure everything they serve is delicious.“
“I’m a regular at the el Perla Tapatia of Mexican kitchen in Turlock California. I love eating the tamales their pork flavor to be exact and I don’t find the tamales TO be lacking any meat. Normally when you buy a tamale elsewhere it’s all no meat basically all masa but not in Turlock location of El Perla Tapatia Mexican kitchen they hook up what ever it is you buy rather it be a platter some Carnitas rice and beans with a tortilla or just a one item like a single tamale a single burrito torta whatever is the size its good and They’re not shy with the meat so my honest rating for the Mexican kitchen at the el Perla Tapatia Turlock location is a A+ now to rate the whole store departments produce 🍅 , bakery 🧁 are the food on shelves in the aisles ? I rate the whole store B plus I really have nothing. I dislike about this store. If I had to pick out something I do dislike the size. I wish it was just bigger more roomie and secondly, it’s busy guys if you’re waking in the life or cashier it could take some time on a busy day one thing about the Mexican restaurant you can pay for your food when you order so when you’re done eating out the door you go if you not know what to do that’s it. That’s my review. Hope you guys enjoy reading all of my text lol“

“I know this is a taco truck and most people go for the Mexican food but this place has the best cheeseburgers in the area!! The burger and fries are amazing, and it definitely beats driving to Modesto or Turlock for a burger fix. I love this truck and would definitely recommend it to anyone in the area.“
