“I love the neighborhood cafe, my sister had mentioned she enjoyed it last time she came with a friend and I came to try it out. I loved the food, their breakfast burrito so yummy and their chilaquiles too. Loved their salsa. Overall great experience and a nice environment to get breakfast and catch up with a friend. “Celebrated my 60th birthday here with an intimate gathering when i remembered being here once before many years ago for a menudo breakfast. Service was good aside for the wait to be offered a drink order when we were seated. Otherwise, food and service were great including the birthday serenade! The margaritas were ok but their mix is a little too sweet for my taste. Will definitely be back though!“

“Very good food and perfect portions for the price. The quality is high, and the flavors are consistent. It's like Crab Boil Asian fusion in a way. They have both on the menu. And out of left field, the garlic bread was very tasty. I come here often and like it a lot-might be the best hidden secret in the area. If you do not like spice, order the no spice option and it is very mild. The mild is already more spicy than some people would like. Their veggies are always fresh and cooked well. Meats are higher quality. You wont be disappointed with your order from here.“

“I've been going to Maria'a since I was a kid. My parents, when they arrived to the US from Mexico would go there and so did my aunts and uncles and cousins. Now I take my kids to eat there. The restaurant has always been the same with great quality food and great service. Maria's restaurant is a gem in the community and will hopefully be there for many more generations. Don't sleep on this place, give it a try.“

“I’ve been coming here a handful of times, and boy this places never fails. I was browser through Google maps checking out restaurants, and this spot looked promising. Since then, I’ve been making the mission to come and eat here for fresh, well cooked seafood and their micheladas is probably one of the best tasting ones around the LA county.

I tried a few dishes here, yet I stick with ordering the pulpo tostadas, shrimp tacos and a Michi. Pulpo is cooked very tender and soft, just darn right and never over cooked where it’s rubbery or tough. It’s always cooked just right and the serving is an amazing portion. It’s enough to fill you up.

The shrimp tacos are flavorful, and the shrimp is lightly battered. The taco isn’t skimped out on the amount of shrimp and toppings, and the sauces used aren’t spicy but enjoyable adding extra flavor to the food.

Michis are served in a big cup but the mix used and the chamoy rim is to die for honestly.

In the past I’ve gotten fish chicharrones, and this dish is very delightful, not super greasy, and packs a punch.

Service is friendly, and the lady who’s usually at the cashier is so nice, including her assistant.

I highly recommend. It’s so worth the try. You won’t be disappointed.“

The menu had something for everyone, and every dish we tried was full of flavor and beautifully presented. The restaurant had such a relaxing atmosphere that made the evening even more enjoyable. “I walked into a small restaurant and was greeted by the owner who was very polite and accommodating, it was clean and atmosphere was welcoming. I ordered Yellow Curry w/chicken & Pad Si Ew Noodles with beef to go, I was asked to have a seat and about 12-15 mins later the food was ready to go. The yellow curry was tasty but I tend to have very high standards when it comes to curry. It was more than adequate but it could have been spicier and to be honest, I’ve had better and worse. However, the Pad Si Ew Noodle with beef was AWESOME! It was so delicious and perfectly balanced. I would definitely come back just for this dish 😋“

“I only recommend the green chicharrón gorditas, they are very delicious (they are slightly spicy), and the shredded gorditas don't have much flavor, but if you put the green sauce that they give you on them they will taste better. The strawberry smoothie is delicious and very cold. The service is good and the atmosphere is more or less nice but if you are one of the people who are not comfortable in places with a lot of people around you I do not recommend it.

Parking: The good thing about parking is that it is free, and it is also easy to park on the street. In my experience, it was easy for us to get parking on a Thursday at noon. The bad thing is that the restaurant has few spaces to put the cart.“

The food is great, and all condiments are single.pack and unlimited as well. I think tacos at any time are great and at El Gavilan even better with their Chiles toreados and beans on the side. They will have emergencies and close early sometimes, at other times they will have a slow day. If you are planning to have some food that day contact them before noon. They do need to update the prices on their menu though. With all the shortcomings I still give them 5 stars because the food is so good and I am not too particular about inconsistencies. Just use common sense because it is family owned. You wouldn't be too demanding of a food truck so treat it in a similar way. If not sure about something call and ask before noon.“

“I have been here for years. The employees are really nice and so is the owner. His mother and father also sometimes work in the restaurant. It's used to be a great mom & pops restaurant. The birria is well seasoned and tender.However, the owner seems to have this new supervisor who goes around the restaurants and tallies the sales and other manager duties. This supervisor is the worst. This man talked down at a friend and I because we asked if my 9 year old could use the restroom. He said they don't allow people in their restroom, but another customer was just let in. He let an older person pass, but not a child. I let him know the owner has let us in use the restroom in past visits. This man told us with a smirk, "Well, do you see the owner now? It is not my problem." Just plain rude, just for that, I don't think I will return. I don't give my money to places that treat their patrons in a rude matter. If he is like this to the customers, I can imagine how he is with the employees that he manages.“
