I left feeling full and very satisfied. The service was fast for a relatively full lunchtime. I am definitely coming back!“

“Always spotted this place when I’m in the area and decided to try it. The food took me by surprise. I had the chicken and waffle plate, the chicken and was nice and crunchy and juicy. This place is very hidden and located near the post office of HP. A true hidden place this cafe is. The service was wonderful! Always checking up on us if we were fine and if the food was good. Highly recommend!“

“Very good food and perfect portions for the price. The quality is high, and the flavors are consistent. It's like Crab Boil Asian fusion in a way. They have both on the menu. And out of left field, the garlic bread was very tasty. I come here often and like it a lot-might be the best hidden secret in the area. If you do not like spice, order the no spice option and it is very mild. The mild is already more spicy than some people would like. Their veggies are always fresh and cooked well. Meats are higher quality. You wont be disappointed with your order from here.“

“I've been going to Maria'a since I was a kid. My parents, when they arrived to the US from Mexico would go there and so did my aunts and uncles and cousins. Now I take my kids to eat there. The restaurant has always been the same with great quality food and great service. Maria's restaurant is a gem in the community and will hopefully be there for many more generations. Its more a place for college students because the prices are affordable. I took a star away because the restrooms are outside and they're REALLY NASTY. They accept orders over phone.“

“This place is better than most other Mexican places around. That says a lot considering this is HP. The food is delicious. The business is family owned, so... They will have emergencies and close early sometimes, at other times they will have a slow day. If you are planning to have some food that day contact them before noon. They do need to update the prices on their menu though. With all the shortcomings I still give them 5 stars because the food is so good and I am not too particular about inconsistencies. Just use common sense because it is family owned. You wouldn't be too demanding of a food truck so treat it in a similar way. If not sure about something call and ask before noon.“

“Came here on a Saturday afternoon, dine in, couple families inside, employees were friendly 👍, had a steak sandwich, chillie fries and cornbread muffin, all was good, no complaints, all was fresh, the meat in sandwich was good compared to many commercial places, will definitely be back to try and Angus burger and some pancakes. I'm always looking for a good mom n pop type place and John's drive in did not disappoint, I'm keeping it on my list of places for a quick bite 😋.“
