“I am new to IB and am just so impressed with Katy's Cafe! They are busy (so you know they're good!), but they get your order out quick. The staff is friendly, inviting and accommodating! “After Gustave had catered an event at our preschool for the second time, he invited my colleagues and I to come by his new location in downtown, and we did! He served us personally and recommended just the right menu items for our preferences (vegetarian, spicy, mild,...), ordered them and served them. We thoroughly enjoyed the tasty hotdogs, corn and fries. Let's not forget about the drinks from the Abbey and the sweet desert: churro with ice cream! The atmosphere was casual, festive with the strings of lights and the very recently installed inflatable penguin on the roof, that conveyed Holiday cheer! Thank you Gus for a delightful evening!“

“Good fresh pizza that you can purchase by the slice or purchase the entire pie. The have an $11.00 special where you can get two slices of pizza and a soft drink. I believe for the dollars more you can upgrade to one beer. They usually have 10 different pizzas available and you can eat inside out outside in their large patio. Not the most cleanest feeling place but the pizzas are great. They also go sandwiches and pasta dishes but I can't comment on those as I haven't tried them yet. Good place to eat just before you go out to the beach to watch the sun set.“

“Great little spot. I have been by several times, but this was the first time eating there. The tacos were so delicious. I had the crispy shrimp, and a Hawaiian chorizo. The shrimp was served with bacon and cheese and was so good. The chorizo taco had pineapple, which was awesome. Everyone working there was very friendly and helpful. Can't wait to go back.“

“I ate here in March of 2024 and I have not stopped thinking about the meal. I am not exaggerating when I said it reminded me of my Italian grandfathers cooking. I had the chicken parm, soupa, a side salad, and a side of sausage. I did not expect this quality or flavor from Imperial Beach and I am happy to admit that I was wrong for my expectations. The food is perfect, the atmosphere devine, the crew working there were so welcoming and outgoing. This is a place that deserves your business. I can't wait to go back.
