“This was a great surprise ! Since No Da Te closed, we were searching for an excellent sushi place. We found it. A wide selection of Nigiri (try the Snow Crab or Tamago), Sashimi and Maki. And above all, their fabulous Rolls, like Shrimp Tempura, Dragon or just The Fresh Special. Excellent! The area was very busy, and service was very efficient.“

“We weren’t sure when we got to the place since it was fairly dark and small in the restaurant. However when we ordered and got our food, we were very pleasantly surprised. The rolls were so big and of great quality. Most sushi places give more rice and less fish/meat but that was certainly NOT the case here. We were a pretty large party and ordered a good amount of food and everything came out quickly and well-made. The staff even gave us an off-the-menu sushi roll on the house after we got all of our food. Highly recommend this place. Don’t let the outside/appearance fool you, this place is a hidden gem with great food and service.“

“Food was good. Sushi tasted really fresh. Good size portions for the Sushi and Salmon Teriyaki Bowl. The Chicken Teriyaki bowl is stirred fried with veggies so if you or your kid does not like veggies, order without it. Had to take all the veggies out for my son.

They played country music which ai guess was normal in this area. We’re just visiting so we really came for the food.

It’s not cheap but not expensive either. Plan on spending about $50 for your self if you want to eat any of the bowls plus sushi.“

“My husband and I love sushi. The Venue is a beautifully designed, moody restaurant on the El Paseo shopping strip. We have been to Venue numerous times, but last night was our favourite. From the moment we were greeted at the door, to our server being attentive and charming, we agree our meal was the best sushi we have ever had. Well done.“

“As a regular chaser of foods Japanese, I was so excited to discover Musashi! A small gem in Palm Desert. We were greeted by some cool jazz music in the background. There were people waiting for the doors to open. A good sign. We enjoyed sake, veggie tempura, miso soup, nigiri, sushi, and sashimi. All were excellent. Service was on point. Our server suggested that we split a bottle of beer but they were out of the large size so she brought us 2 regular size bottles and charged us for the single large. Tables were all occupied, so my wife and I decided to sit at the counter. We were greeted by our server after sitting, who was friendly and nice. We had edimame to start, and 3 rolls which were fresh and delicious. I also ordered a 2-pc. yellowfin tuna nigiri which was absolutely fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience, and left there for around 50 bucks. Can't beat that. Looking forward to coming back again.“
