“We stopped here between Universal Studios & LAX after finding them via a Google restaurant search. The food was delicious. Large portions & big mugs of cold beer to tame the spices. We loved the friendly & casual vibe. My silly kid enjoyed being creative with the injera bread & what kid doesn't love the opportunity to eat with their hands... on purpose!“

“This is really a hidden gem in the city of Inglewood. If you want fresh, flavorful, authentic Ethiopian food this is your place! I believe everything is made to order so it might take a little while to get your order but it’s worth the wait. I felt really welcomed by the owner Emma. If it’s your first time here I would recommend two things. First, park on La Brea and ask someone to open the gate so you can park inside if parking is available and Second, which could have easily been first, get the awaze tibbs and some honey wine. The sauce that comes on the awaze tibbs is full of flavor. This was only my second time here but I definitely plan on returning soon. Last thing I’ll say is if you get the chance check out the dining area out back.“

“Unbelievable flavors! My friends and I were blown away by the vegan combo—each bite was a burst of spices and textures that danced on our tongues. The Awaze chicken? Profound fire! Tender, spicy, and perfectly cooked. This place doesn’t just serve food; it serves a delightful experience. We’ll be dreaming of this meal for weeks. Do yourself a favor and GO!!!“

“This was my first experience having Ethiopian cuisine but this was the best place to start! Everything about this place is wonderful; the exceptionally kind staff, wonderful service, calm ambience, AMAZING food, and Genet herself even said hello to us. Couldn’t have asked for a better time. Thank you so much!!!“
“So happy I rediscovered Paradocs (thanks to Starbucks being closed one day!). I went once to Paradocs early pandemic and the drip coffee wasn’t for me so I didn’t go back for a while. I’m so glad I did because when I did, I found “my” go to Paradocs drink - an americano with steamed milk! Now I go all the time! I’m happy to support an independent business. One guy, Taka, owns and operates it himself. He has it nailed down. I look forward to when indoor dining opens and we can sit inside on the cute vintage chairs. (I should note there are a couple tables on the sidewalk that are great. Thankful to the city or county for loosening sidewalk dining restrictions. Hope that stays.)“
“Ethiopian food is my favorite and I have tried most Ethiopian restaurants in the LA area. Washington DC still has the best Ethiopian food I have tried but this restaurant has consistent good food. I have tried a few different cooks here and the flavor changes a bit but it has always been good. Better to call in your order ahead. You can eat in since there’s always space because most customers just do pick up orders but right now is not the nicest place for a dinner date.

“WOW !!! I’ve driven passed this place a lot and always wanted to try. And one word; WOW! I ordered off postmates today and decided on marathon as I had a complicated order, and no other restaurant could fulfill it. Dude from the restaurant called me & went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect!!! Such a sweet soul. The food was INSANE! So good! Also random side note; My boyfriend has stuffed sinuses but is sensitive to ultra-spice, and the food was just palatable spice level for them & cleared their sinuses entirely!!! THEY STILL NOT SNIFFLING AS I WRITE THIS A FEW HOURS LATER!!! This is the SPOT !!“

“I love meeting new people and trying new food. Ethiopian food here is hearty, homey, and delicious. You have to love their culture to come and chat with them and get good service. It was so delicious. I got the veggie and meat combo. Leftovers are so delicious still.“

“We came in just for a cup of coffee, man it was good. Strong and bitter. While I was sipping on my coffee I saw the waiters walk by with the food people were ordering, and it looked so good, made me regret I had already had lunch. Definitely coming back to eat there.“

“This is one of the best Ethiopian restaurants that I ever have dinned in LA. The food ingredients, spices and service is very authentic. The owners prepare the food with humble welcoming and gracious smile. The price is very fair and the atmosphere is clean. In such tight place, they utilize the space cleverly: The location is prime for parking and walking around the neighborhood. Well, if you happen you are at Betty Mart and Resturant, don’t forget to order the special coffee ☕️ (Jebena Coffee). My wife and I enjoyed everything here. We will be back soon! Love this place.“
