“On September 3, 1960, founder Wilber Hardee (1918-2008) opened the first Hardee’s store in Greenville, North Carolina.
In areas other than the western United States, including LA, Carl’s Jr. operates under the name Hardee's.
Originally, Hardee’s and Carl’s Jr. were different companies, but since Hardee’s was acquired by CKE Restaurants, the parent company of Carl’s Jr. in 1997, Hardee’s in the western United States have been renamed Carl’s Jr.
Currently, Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s are sister brands with different names but shared menus.
The combined market share of Hardee’s and Carl’s Jr. in the United States is by no means small, ranking fourth in terms of the number of stores, after McDonald’s, Burger King, and Wendy’s.

“my kids love burgers and fries here👍 the boy staffs are very helpful and friendly😊 my kids said they love the clean place and of course they like 2 brothers in the restaurant. 😁 Staffs have fully service-mind. Foods were very good and fresh. I can say that here is the most cleanliness Carl's Jr in town.

“Went in on a Thursday night and was immediately greeted with a friendly welcome. This particular night I was in the mood for some chicken tenders. While ordering my food the cashier woman was very friendly and was always smiling. After a long day of work she made my night a whole lot better. This is the best customer service I have experienced. I ate inside the restaurant for a peaceful night and got just that. Even if the food is a bit pricey, it’s really worth it.“

“I love Carl's Jr burgers in general, but the reason I am giving this store a 5, is customer service.
They gave me a wrong sandwich and I didn't find out until I got home. I called the store and I was instantly told that I can come by to pick up a free combo for the inconvenience. I went in the next day and explained what happened. They made me the order for free and no questions asked!“
“Store manager, manager assistant and all their crew members very nice, friendly always greet 😀 you with smile on their face. Dining room, restrooms, fountain ⛲️ drinks and counter very clean. I ordered a Barbiecue chicken 🐔 combo at lunch time ⏲️ and I enjoyed it.“
