This bakery has some of the best pastries outside of France. The éclairs have the perfect amount of cream and are not too sweet. And their drinks are simply wonderful. Their coffee is perfectly roasted and is exquisite.
Champagne French Bakery & Cafe is a neighborhood favorite but be prepared to wince a bit while reaching for that wallet. Champagne is a quaint little Cafe/Bakery mash-up located in South Coast Plaza that has been churning out delicious, if not expensive, baked treats, bread and coffee drinks along with Breakfast and Lunch fare for the better part of a decade now. Had the BLT-E it was pretty good. Heads up there is a little spice to it due to pepper flakes. It's got a delicious egg. The feel to the place is nice. It's very trendy. The hard part is finding parking. Especially right now with all the construction going on around there.
