“I love the variety in the menu. The food was great, just a tad bit salty on the Beer Cheese Philly. The staff is always very nice and attentive. The overall environment I love because I can hear the casino machines going . Since the casino is non smoking, there is no issue with it smelling like smoke inside. We ordered the crispy calamari, Beer Cheese Philly, and the Ceasar salad. I will keeping here for sure.“
“Very kind service. Food was pretty food, but not amazing considering the price. I know everything has increased, but wouldn't expect to pay almost $20 for a somewhat dry chicken sandwich with pesto sauce on it, along with french fries as the side. The Smoked & Sliced Beef sandwich was good, though! DELICIOUS FRENCH FRIES! 10 & 11 year old split the Pulled Pork Nacho Fries, which was good but the pulled pork was slightly dry and the cheese sauce tasted from a jar. Be aware that the fries on the nachos are different than the normal fries -- like fry chips.Wikki Stix for the kids is a nice touch at the table. No no Sarsaparilla (pronounced Sasparilla) at the restaurant though... ?Parking: Parallel parked in front of restaurantKid-friendliness: Offer Wikki Stix for kids to play with -- nice touch!“
“This historic hotel was everything I expected it to be. I came to experience some historical sites and The National Hotel stays true to its Gold rush era/Pioneer past.Rooms: The rooms are quaint. Wonderful vintage style of the 1850s gold rush era from the carpet to the wallpaper. Rooms all have bathrooms with shower. Beds are comfy and cozy with a teddy bear waiting to be hugged!!Nearby activities: There are plenty of antique and specialty shops along Main Street. I suggest bar hopping. You are close enough to a roadhouse across the street called The Rawhide which occasionally has live music on their stage.Walkability: The little town of Jamestown is walkable in five minutes. Everything is considered under the definition of walkability. ?Food & drinks: The National Hotel has a wonderful restaurant on the first floor with a beautiful front window to sit by. The salmon dinner was fabulous! The ambience and decor were very pleasant with lighting and flowers. Very romantic getaway for valentines day weekend!Noteworthy details: The staff were kind and knowledgeable. Our hostess for the evening "Rhonda"even gave me a brief history on the hotel and surrounding area as we walk to our room. Coffee and tea were available to us in the hallway which we enjoyed on the balcony looking over main street.“
“Extended. We stayed in this hotel. We were spending a few days in San Francisco, visiting a relative, and along the way we made the occasional getaway to see picturesque places. In this case, within the scheduled excursion they had reserved a room at this hotel-restaurant. It looked like a Farwest hotel, I took a lot of photos, both the reception, room, common areas, etc. Reviewing them seems long to me. It was an experience that even after many years you remember the place. In this hotel where we spent the night, had dinner and had breakfast. In the morning we flew to the small town and continued the march. The photos accompany“
“2 eggs and steak. One egg and steak were cooked as requested. A lot of fat on steak + grissel. Service very friendly. Decor amusing. American Faire. Some Mexican influence. Breakfast and lunch only.Parking: Large parking area, rutted, crushed rock surface. Somewhat difficult for wheelchairs.“
“Love this place. I go there 3-4 times a week. The people there are amazing, the owner and employees are the best ever. Great food every time I go in there. Always friendly and happy to make conversation. Wouldn't pick anywhere else to go to eat breakfast. Easily the best in the 209.“
“Wonderful authentic Greek food in Sonora! We have been here numerous times, our favorite place to eat for any meal. The family is wonderful. So kind and really give great service along with the delicious food! My husband is greek and the food is just like YiaYia would make. Its like a warm hug.“
“I can't wait to come back! First time here. Drove from Modesto. The staff and service is great. Very attentive yet not intrusive. The Greek skillet was better than I could've imagined. No hot sauce needed. The pancake was equally delicious. 10 outta 10 can't wait to go again! Highly “
“An adorable tea house just one block from downtown Columbia. No one is too young or too old to enjoy having a tea party. Endless tea selection, good comfort food. Charming atmosphere amidst bone china tea cups and saucers and tea pots with cozies. Wonderful experience and memories.“
“We are frequent visitors of the Bourbon Barrel and it gets better each time. Great drinks and surprisingly amazing food. I've had almost every item on their menu and nothing has disappointed. The brie cheese dish is a must try! The only problem is that it's gone too quickly. Excited to see how the expansion turns out with the large outdoor patio!!“
“Great service! We showed up from out of town with a large family of about 25 of us. They worked diligently to get an area ready for all of us. They were so kind, so warm and welcoming to us. They were so genuine and it touched our family's hearts. It's not everyday that we receive that type of service. They were so kind about separating all the tabs we had too. We will definitely be back.Vegetarian options: Garden burger was yummy“
“My review of the City Hotel and What Cheer Saloon is FANTASTIC! The atmosphere takes you back to the gold rush days, and the food is as good as it gets. This is the Golden Ticket." The kobe beef burger with snake river candied bacon is next level. It's as good of a hamburger as you will eat anywhere!“
“The Turkey, cream cheese, cranberry sauce sandwich was SOOOO DELICIOUS, highly recommend. But the staff was not knowledgeable when we asked questions and the tv was blaring with a sit com show. Would never sit inside the store to eat lunch in that environment.“
“The burger with an egg and bacon on it was SO scrumptious! My friends and I came into town late while on our way home from Yosemite. The server and kitchen were willing to make our order that we called in about 30 min before closing. Thank you, Emberz, it was tasty!“
“My husband and I had a light lunch at Diamondback. Southwest Chicken soup with focacia bread. The soup and bread were excellent, and the service was great. Our waitress was attentive and very sweet. The atmosphere is very much old Sonora, which we loved. We would certainly go again.“
“What a cute place. We were in the area for a wedding and the next morning looking for a place to eat brunch. I loved the selection that had plant based for me and everything else for my husband. The people were super sweet and attentive, especially to my husband's coffee needs (lots), and the restaurant was clean and adorable. This was a great Google find, and we live close enough to return.Vegetarian options: The veggie soup has a veggie base instead of the usual beef or chicken. The veggie sandwich I ordered was so yummy and fresh.“
“What a clean, friendly, cute place in downtown Jamestown! My eggplant sandwich with grilled red peppers, yellow squash, grilled eggplant, pesto, mozzarella & tomato on grilled sourdough was so delicious & packed with veggies & gooey cheese. The French fries were really good, piping hot & super crispy. My hubby had the Divorced Huevos Rancheros whic we're covered in two different sauces, red & white and he cleaned his plate. Our server was attentive, friendly & right on with her recommendations and we will definitely return if we're in the area again.“
