The Roadhouse at River Pines American • $$

“My husband and I ate at The Roadhouse for the first time and were so happy with the quality of food presented. Kudos to Chef! You have brought an upgraded experience in dining for such a small area.
I ordered the Baja shrimp tacos plate which was a feast to the eyes; not to be disappointed, the embellishment on the tacos was super delicious.
My husband ordered the Double cheeseburger--not to be confused with an ordinary hamburger--and he raved about the quality of meat that was cooked to perfection.
They did a wonderful job at reinventing an older interior which now exudes a warm, inviting atmosphere. A cozy bar adjoins a more formal [black tablecloths] dining area that exudes a warm, inviting atmosphere.
Lastly, they are open 7 days a week at this time! Wishing the Roadhouse continued success as more and more people learn of your fine restaurant.

“Fabulous dinner! Food menu covered all the bases from casual (burgers, salads, fish and chips) to exquisite (blackened salmon, elk tenderloin, duck a l’orange) without over-extending. Every dish we had (fish and chips, roasted half-chicken with mushroom sauce, blackened salmon with collards and dirty rice) was fantastic, some of the best we’ve ever had. Portions are generous.
Bar menu is well-curated, not encyclopedic but everything is well-crafted and the cocktails are excellent. High praise for the barrel-aged Negroni and the Paper Plane, or ask Nicole for her current off-menu favorite and you will not be disappointed. The wine list is similarly thoughtful — not a vast list, but all good, interesting wines, and priced within reason.
Can’t wait to come back!“
