“Me, my brother in law, and his son got stuck here after finding out the YART bus was 12 hour in advance registration at this location. We explained our situation to the very nice young lady at the counter our situation, about trying to get back to our car in Tuolumne Meadows, and pick up a sick family member in Silver Lake. Not only did she help us out with our predicament, she call the owner of the gas station, who then came and drove us to Lee Vining in his car. We offered payment, but it was refused. I know I cannot make anyone do anything, but if you are driving through the area, please stop in and support these very kind people. It was a true blessing to see not only to meet kind folk, but ones that truly believe in community. From the bottom of my heart, thank you!“

“Pretty good place. I had their matcha latte a couple times and it was good, but even when unsweetened, it still tasted somewhat sweet for some reason. Maybe the oat milk was pre sweetened? It was still pretty good, just sweeter than I'd have liked.“

“A Hidden Gem in Mammoth Village!

Side Door is the best-kept secret in Mammoth! Tucked away in the village, this cozy spot delivers in every way—from food to vibes. Their crepes are absolutely delicious, with a gluten-free batter that’s light, flavorful, and perfect for sweet or savory cravings. Don’t skip the breakfast potatoes—they’re crispy, buttery perfection, easily some of the best I’ve had anywhere.

The espresso is rich and bold, and their award-winning Bloody Mary? Totally lives up to the hype. Whether you’re coming in for a slow breakfast, a chill lunch, or a cozy dinner with friends, Side Door hits the mark every time. Can’t wait to come back!“

“We come up from Los Angeles a family of four and this place absolutely does the trick when it comes to prices and quality. There are a few places in that area in the village that are just tourist traps overpriced for service poor quality I am so surprised at the quality of the New York Deli Bakery it's just good and cheap and they really catered to all crowds don't even pack your lunch for the day if you're going to go on the mountain or for a hike the warm packet for you it's an awesome place“
