This spot is definitely gorgeous for a coffee break. Awesome view and clearly a local student/staff favorite. They grilled our egg salad sandwich in the panini maker and the iced matcha latte was delicious. The crew here helpful
And warm. Also very quick.
I only wish there was more “bar style” seating for those who tend to linger for hours on their own instead of taking up a whole table. It’s been super crowded with no seating the last few months bc people...read full review
Best coffee shop in La Jolla!!! Aline and Caroline are passionate about everything they do. Swing by and see what all the hype is about! Cheers, Christina ☕️
I would pick them to get my coffee at over any big commercial coffee shop. They are so sweet and the coffee is amazing. The best I've had. The one I go to is in del mar by the fair grounds and the parking lot is easy to get in and out of. I love the selection of food, my favorite is the Chicken Panini with the honey chipotle sauce. Highly recommend.

Pinpoint Cafe is a coffee shop with a stunning ocean view of La Jolla Shores Beach and Scripps Pier, making it a great study spot for UCSD students. While the drinks are good, the food can be pricey. The menu features perfectly prepared options like avocado toast and salmon on toast. The service is friendly from a great team. Be prepared for limited parking options, but enjoy the view and decent seating. The all outdoors cafe is located on a hill, offering the most beautiful view of the Pacific Ocean, especially at sunset. The coffee is delicious and strong, made with high-quality Cafe Moto beans, and the Mocha ala Mexican was delicious too. The kitchen serves tasty meals like honey sriracha avo toast with bacon and blue cheese. It’s a popular and surprisingly busy place to work or catch up with friends, and it can be difficult to find a seat. There are no bathrooms or outlets, and parking is on the street or behind the building with some walking needed, but the stunning scenery, reggae music, and friendly atmosphere make it a favorite spot for many visitors. It is pretty much the only spot for refreshments in the area.
