It is hands down the best Italian deli for sandwiches and pizza in San Diego county, with incredible flavors. The specialty sandwiches are packed to the brim with fresh ingredients and full of flavor. The Italian sub is incredible, with extremely fresh meats and bread that is soft yet perfectly chewy. Other recommendations include the #9 Turkey, the godfather, and the mambo Italiano. The Mortadella is also molto bene. Sandwiches are large and feed you like any true Italian.
The pizzeria side offers absolutely delicious pizza. A pepperoni pizza fed four people happily. A slice topped with cupped pepperoni and mozzarella, drizzled with hot honey, is absolutely delicious. Their pizza pies are the best pizza many have ever had. The cute boutique market also sells products you won't always find elsewhere. The entire experience is wonderful, with sweet and helpful staff. It is a highly recommended place that becomes a favorite, worthy of a 45-minute drive. The only note is that alcoholic beverages cannot be enjoyed on the property, but delicious Italian sodas are available.
