Their food was good. Basic sandwiches that get you through the day and their donuts are always delicious.

It's tucked in a strip mall of a busy street. Outside can sometimes have some sketchy people, but the workers didn't seem phased. Like they're used to it.

“This place is so good! They have an extensive menu that includes seafood, soups, traditional Mexican dishes and breakfast as well as aguas frescas. We’ve tried the flautas, sopes, huaraches, tacos dorados, enchiladas, French fries and agua de melon & Jamaica. Their coffee is served hot and is very tasty. They give chips and salsa and the salsa is delicious. They get busy and sometimes it takes them a while to come around for refills but overall the staff is nice and the food comes out quickly. Since discovering this hidden gem, we’ve already been back twice and will continue to return. Also, their prices are very reasonable and the portions are great as well.“

They offer a variety of international flavors, including Cuban sandwiches, salads, soups, freshly made bread, empanadas, and other bakery items. Some items are not listed on the menu, so you can ask for the Chef's Daily Special. I always look for clean and relaxing cafes where my family can eat, or I can simply sit and enjoy a book. My experience at Sweet Savory Cafe surpassed my experiences at other cafes in Pasadena, Claremont, and Upland. I arrived early and enjoyed warm cookies and bread, which were absolutely delicious. I ordered various items including coffee, soup, breakfast, and bakery items. Despite not being a coffee drinker, I found the coffee to be delicious and memorable. I also tried their Healthy Breakfast Burrito with added bacon, which was customizable and very filling. The Lentil soup had an amazing aroma and taste. They also offer freshly made orange juice, and all their sandwiches are made with their own bread. I tried a new flavor of Sweet & Savory bread and found it to be very delicious. I added cream cheese to it yesterday and tried it with butter today. This is definitely my new go-to place for food. I appreciate the cleanliness of the cafe and the fact that it's open early on for breakfast including Saturday and Sunday. I was even able to order all these items on a Saturday at 7AM. “This boba place in Temple City has a nice touch too it. The interior design is pretty cool. The drink menu is pretty long so there's lots of options to choose from. You can get a reusable glass bottle for around a dollar extra which I did get. I ordered the regular milk tea with boba. The drink was okay but better than other places I've had. I would say the atmosphere of this place is nice because it can be used as a study spot since last time I went it was pretty quiet and they had seating. The service was pretty quick as well. Overall, great experience.“

They are always switching up their desserts and are so eager to please because if you don't like a drink they will remake it when this place gets bad reviews I really don't get it they must be mixing up their boba shops. I wanted to gate keep this place but I also want it to last and be around for a while so this is a must try.“

“I happen to go to the tea place next door and saw this place and the menu caught my attention. I was fascinated by the port cutlet and the nice Japanese omelette over the rice with curry. I walk in and I get greeted by the lady who is so nice and friendly. Ordered the pork cutlet with rice and egg omelette and it was delicious

“Went here on my birthday on October 23rd this year with my family and Maid Nagi was very attentive, helpful, and very sweet. I ordered the SR Kawaii Combo and got the Omurice with Ketchup writing as my Entree, Ichigo Cheesecake for dessert, and Sakura Flower Milky Tea. The food here is made fresh and hot, while the taste for everything was really delicious and I had a good time here. Maid Nagi also wrote Happy Birthday on my Omurice as well as my polaroid included in the set which I thought was very cute and generous. The place was really elegant and clean. I recommend Arcane if you’re wanting to celebrate a birthday, just want to chill out with friends, or family.“

I had the French Toast Combo with a large orange juice came out to $22.20. With a $7.80 tip came to $30 flat. Food was fine/delicious, place seemed clean. Lot of help in the kitchen, pretty fast service, no complaints. The atmosphere gives like veterans POW/Elk Lodge/small town/diner vibes, a handful of older(40/50+) dudes, a young teen couple and a family with toddler was here when I sat in at 10am on Wednesday morning. Parking: I was able to find a spot,but it is limited-if busy.“

“We stopped by Porto’s in Covina after visiting my kiddo’s padrinos, and it was our first time. Right away, I could tell how popular it is—there was a greeter at the door, and the place was busy. I loved that they have separate areas for the coffee shop, dine-in, and bakery.

The staff was friendly and helpful, especially the lady who guided us through our first visit. My wife and I enjoyed the sweet treats, and the iced matcha and iced coffee were both on point. Despite the crowd, we were in and out in about 15 minutes with our coffee, bread, and goodies in hand.

We’re from Bakersfield but will definitely be back. Solid 9+ out of 10!

“Came here on a Saturday evening. There were other families there, but it definitely wasn't crowded. Plenty of tables and plenty of space for the kiddos in the play area. Our group had kids aged 2 up to 5 years and they all seemed to have a blast. Ours was the youngest, and he enjoyed running from toy to toy, riding the little merry go round and train, and especially coming down the slide. The kids also got balloon animals. It's $9 for 2 hours for the kids, and $2 for each 30 min. thereafter. Adults are free as long as you order food. We had a mix of Italian and Korean food, and it was actually pretty good. The place is very clean, and they do provide slippers if you like. (You have to leave your shoes in an unlocked locker at the entrance, and everyone needs socks.) Attendants go around the play area once in a while and put toys and things back in tidy places. A sign says you're supposed to supervise your child in the play area, but I sometimes saw parents of older kids not really paying attention. There weren't any mishaps. There are some split screen monitors over in the dining area. Parking is free and validated in the mall/HMart structure. Enter on Manhattan Place, and go straight and up (left and down is for HMart, according to a sign). Merry go round goes off at 15 before and after. Train rides are on the hour. If there's lots of kids, they're sometimes nice enough to run twice. We'll definitely consider returning, even without other families.“

The jasmine in it was too overpowering. Tasted fresh, but wouldn't recommend it.The line was somewhat long... it's drive thru only, so expect a bit of a wait depending on the time you go. Had one cashier who was also responsible for making the drinks to order. Felt bad for him, but he did a great job.Even with disliking the new drink we tried, it's still worthy of five stars.Highly recommend and we'd go back again in the future.“

“I ordered a flat white like an hour ago.

In my opinion what makes this spot good is the type of coffee you get. Im no coffee expert but the taste you get is what I call "classic". That straight up coffee taste you know and love. Everywhere else I go tend to favor the more funky natural process coffees. I love a good funky espresso. But to find this flavor profile in a coffee shop around here, or in LA in general is pretty uncommon.

They were so good I’m embarrassed to say I lick the plate clean🥴. And of course the churros were amazing as usual.“

“This is a small and cute bakery in the area. I came by during Valentine’s Day. One of the ladies was decorating the window with Valentine’s Day theme. We ordered the coffee cake and almond croissant. The croissant was very fluffy and crispy. It is one of the best croissant I had in the US, it reminded me of the bakery and croissants I had in Paris. Servers are very helpful and friendly as I asked them for recommendations of the pastries. Will come back again for more croissants!
