“Overall, it's a really great spot for a quick breakfast and donut.

Their service is amazing. SUPER friendly folks and very nice. Lovely people I'd love to start every morning with.

Their food was good. Basic sandwiches that get you through the day and their donuts are always delicious.

It's tucked in a strip mall of a busy street. Outside can sometimes have some sketchy people, but the workers didn't seem phased. Like they're used to it.

“Sometimes between shifts I don't have much time to get my early dinner. Moderns is the perfect place to go. The Hawaiian sandwich became my favorite right away, although the chicken one was taaasty! The mocha? Perfection. Chocolaty but not too sweet. Same for their fruity aguas frescas. They happen to be the new owners and they are super sweet!“

“This place is so good! They have an extensive menu that includes seafood, soups, traditional Mexican dishes and breakfast as well as aguas frescas. We’ve tried the flautas, sopes, huaraches, tacos dorados, enchiladas, French fries and agua de melon & Jamaica. Their coffee is served hot and is very tasty. They give chips and salsa and the salsa is delicious. They get busy and sometimes it takes them a while to come around for refills but overall the staff is nice and the food comes out quickly. Since discovering this hidden gem, we’ve already been back twice and will continue to return. Also, their prices are very reasonable and the portions are great as well.“

“Yesterday, I discovered a hidden treasure in San Dimas - Sweet Savory Cafe. This cafe is known for its delicious cookies that sell out quickly. They offer a variety of international flavors, including Cuban sandwiches, salads, soups, freshly made bread, empanadas, and other bakery items. Some items are not listed on the menu, so you can ask for the Chef's Daily Special. I always look for clean and relaxing cafes where my family can eat, or I can simply sit and enjoy a book. My experience at Sweet Savory Cafe surpassed my experiences at other cafes in Pasadena, Claremont, and Upland. I arrived early and enjoyed warm cookies and bread, which were absolutely delicious. I ordered various items including coffee, soup, breakfast, and bakery items. Despite not being a coffee drinker, I found the coffee to be delicious and memorable. I also tried their Healthy Breakfast Burrito with added bacon, which was customizable and very filling. The Lentil soup had an amazing aroma and taste. I can't believe I didn't know about this cafe before, especially since I work in the city! For those new to the cafe, you can order through Uber Eats, Grubhub, Postmates, and DoorDash. They even have Keto-friendly San Dimas Barbershop Tacos! There is parking available in the front and back, and plenty of seating inside and outside. If you have a large party, they can accommodate you by pushing tables together. The atmosphere is peaceful, making it a wonderful place to read a book or enjoy a meal with family. They also offer freshly made orange juice, and all their sandwiches are made with their own bread. I tried a new flavor of Sweet & Savory bread and found it to be very delicious. I added cream cheese to it yesterday and tried it with butter today. This is definitely my new go-to place for food. I appreciate the cleanliness of the cafe and the fact that it's open early on for breakfast including Saturday and Sunday. I was even able to order all these items on a Saturday at 7AM. “Stopped by Rabbit and Bean on Imperial Highway and immediately got the sense that this is a well established neighborhood coffee spot. It was busy, but not chaotic. The crowd felt like mostly local regulars who know their coffee, which is always a good sign. This is not a trendy or flashy café, but a clean, thoughtfully run independent shop that focuses on doing things right.

The space is aesthetic and well maintained. Pastries looked great, though I was not hungry this time. I went with the espresso tonic, even though they also had a yuzu matcha tonic that I have been gravitating toward lately. I needed a quick caffeine bump, and the espresso tonic delivered. Bright, refreshing, and well balanced.

My drink came out in under five minutes. We sat for a bit and watched the baristas work, and it was clear they know exactly what they are doing. Efficient movements, no wasted actions, and a calm, confident workflow behind the bar.

This has officially made it onto my list of solid coffee spots. A reliable place for good coffee, quick service, and a neighborhood vibe that feels genuine rather than forced. Definitely coming back.“

“We love Rail Side and have been going there for years. The Arecely’s PB Mocha (I like mine blended) is my favorite along with the wake-up #1 on GF bread. Everyone is so friendly (including the owners who are also rooted in the community) and they have live music on the weekend. Great spot that has so much small town charm.“

I had the French Toast Combo with a large orange juice came out to $22.20. With a $7.80 tip came to $30 flat. Food was fine/delicious, place seemed clean. Lot of help in the kitchen, pretty fast service, no complaints. The atmosphere gives like veterans POW/Elk Lodge/small town/diner vibes, a handful of older(40/50+) dudes, a young teen couple and a family with toddler was here when I sat in at 10am on Wednesday morning. Parking: I was able to find a spot,but it is limited-if busy.“

I had to wait a while but finally just took two of the food and one dessert back. The chicken was well seasoned and even the rice was good. I would buy this everyday.“

Today, a staff member told me they don't carry scones, which was disappointing. So, I got a cinnamon twist and an iced crème brûlée. “The coffee here is amazing. The barista is friendly. And the ambiance is quiet and intimate. When you walk in, it’s very open and welcoming. The barista was very knowledgeable on any of my questions and we traded recommendations on some local Portland roasters. I got a spro and cortado, while my wife got a Sierra tonic which actually made me like espresso tonics. Hands down this is the best oat cortado I’ve ever had. The milk was steamed with perfect microfoam, and it really accented the bean’s natural sweetness. I didn’t catch his name, but we were there at noon on a Saturday after thanksgiving. Anyway, stay frosty Sierra Madre, Peace.“

Latte wasn't too bitter nor too sweet and a perfect recommendation.

If you're looking for something savory, flaky, with just the right amount of buttery deliciousness the salt bread is for you.

On the other spectrum if you want something more on the sweet side but still full of flaky texture the passion fruit croissant is the way to go. Don't forget to ask for it warmed up at the counter if you're enjoying it in the shop!“

Food: I had ordered 3 food items and forgot to take a picture. It was the avocado toast and peanut butter & banana toast. And a chocolate croissant. Súper bomb! Would definitely order all 3 again.
Drinks: Tried their coffee fall flight…and wow! Genius. Hope it’s a year round option and can choose other options when seasonal drinks aren’t in.
