“Wow! What a find! Had lunch at Tomo Sushi and everything was just so genuinely good. I ordered the cucumber salad and the sashimi roll, and the chef surprised me with complimentary crab tempura. OMG… that crab tempura was incredible — the flavor just burst in your mouth.

And the miso soup? Definitely a winner. Not lukewarm like so many places… I mean actually hot, fresh, rich, and flavorful. You could really taste the care in it.

The sashimi roll was amazing too — “flavorful” honestly doesn’t even describe it. The fish tasted super fresh.

The restaurant itself is quiet and comfortable, with two chefs and one server, and everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Nothing felt forced or over-the-top… just genuine hospitality and really good food.

If you’ve never been here, honestly make the trip just to try it. Based only on what I tasted today, I’d absolutely come back again 🤗🍣🌹“

“We needed something quick while we were out and wanted something that would leave us feeling good - found Urban Plates and it exceeded what we were looking for! My grass-fed steak was tender and juicy, the mac n cheese was comforting and delicious, and the side of beets paired well with the goat cheese. My husband enjoyed his crispy chicken sandwich and fries. I love the variety of food offered at Urban Plates and knowing my body is getting high quality nutrients while enjoying something delicious!

“I can't believe someone gave them one star. Luna Grill has excellent service, the place is always packed, and it's VERY clean. I am a mail carrier and I come here often. I am also deaf. Alex, who has served me many of times, wears a shirt with sign language on it, which really touched my heart. He didn't know I was deaf, but the gesture really touched me. Paige took my order today, and what I've noticed about her is that she's ALWAYS smiling. Actually, they all always greet the customers with a smile. Those giving one star must stay angry all the time, because this place is top notch. This is UC Irvine 35. Let me say this. The place is so popular that by noon, it's packed. They have Uber Eats workers, Door Dash carrying dozens of orders out. So many orders that the Uber Eats worker needs a buggy. I pause and take my lunch early to avoid the lunch crowd, and they STILL get the orders out fast.

P.S. someone put in their bad review that Luna grill was out of water cups and that they only received a small portion of the chicken. Look over the rice. Look at the rice where the trail of chicken ends. You can tell there was chicken sitting on top of that rice. Try again.“

“Excellent food and wonderful service! My wife and I popped in here after a long bike ride, and we weren't disappointed. We shared the supreme breakfast burrito with venison and the waffles with fruit. The burrito was so good, the meat was cooked to perfection and the combination with the eggs and potatoes made it wonderful. And the waffles, oh my! We will definitely be back for more of this delicious food. Oh, and the service was incredible, everyone is so friendly and attentive. A+++“

“My friends and I went on Friday, July 10, at around 8-9. We were greeted with the most nicest and gorgeous hostess; after checking us in she complimented us and called us beautiful. So nice!!!! She was a dark-skinned woman with curly hair. Our server was also nice, the food was just okay. When we were leaving, I asked her for some mint chocolate, and she was so helpful and gave us some. She was absolutely wonderful!! The absolute best!!!“

Usually when you get pad see ew, a good indicator that it’s going to be flavorful is the color of the noodles. Pale tan? No flavor. A nice rich brown like the ones in the picture here? Delicious. “A wonderful evening at Todos Santos with my wife. We were greeted by Daniel the owner and chef extraordinare who took us to a very nice table in the outside patio. We started off with drinks which were made by one of our favorite bartenders Jaime! The other bartender of choice is Francisco who had the day off. Kenya was our waiter and was superb, very personable and professional. We each ordered the appetizer salad which were so good. We spoke with Daniel about the fresh fish and decided on the Sea Bass for my wife and I ordered the Salmon and lobster plate. These two dishes were amazing upon presentation and even tastier than they looked lol. I must say since we began dining at Todos Santos from when Daniel took over this place has blossomed this restaurant into the best Mexican cuisine in Orange County. With multiple awards to his credit Daniel has new menu items that he creates regularly and now opens after hours on Tuesdays and Fridays with a DJ and dance floor. On Saturday and Sunday the restaurant serves breakfast from 10 am to 2 pm and the dishes are delicious. Make a reservation and ask for Daniel. Let him know George sent you.
