“It is a nice restaurant over looking a pond. I ordered a 14oz prime rib and my friend ordered a rib eye stake we both ask for medium rare. My friend got a well done stake and I got a medium stake. The prime rib was still good and the stake was a perfect well done. That is if you like well done. We didn't!“

“It is an inviting place, as soon as you walk in the flower hanging over the ceiling. It looks like you are inside of a garden. Waitress was very friendly and she was often checking on us to see if we needed anything. The food was excellent and the portion was good to share with 2 if you want to try different things on the menu. Crab fried rice was a very big portion. Enough for more than 2 people to share.“

“I have eaten Vietnamese cuisine throughout California, and Grandpa Tao ranks among the best. In addition to the amazing tastes, the casual restaurant is friendly and comfortable. Ingredients are fresh, the environment clean and relaxing. I particularly recommend the Pho, the Rice Vermicelli (try it!) and the Shaking beef. You'll like it.“

The aromas of the spices tortured my already empty stomach with the enticement of good food to come. I have fallen in love with the food and customer service. I will be back as my budget allows.“

“I've been looking for a Thai place that has a good panong salmon. This is the place. Even though it was take-out, it was beautifully presented. The salmon was cooked to perfection. The panong was lovely, and lots of broccoli and carrots. Friendly service during pickup. I'd definitely do eat-in here.“

“Everything is cooked fresh to order, had the popular steak sandwich. The flavor is excellent and cooked to perfection. It has that nice slow heat with sweetness on the front. They pile on the meat so it was very filling.“

“First off, I just want to say that the staff was very nice and that alone made me more hopeful for the food. I ordered the chow mein, orange chicken, and the drunken noodles, and wow all of them were delicious. The chow mein was absolutely packed with flavor and if it's too much for you, you can mix it with rice and the flavors will spread all throughout the rice. The drunken noodles were perfectly cooked and once again the flavors were on point making you want more. Finally, the orange chicken was my favorite. The sauce was perfect and the vegetables were coated in the orange sauce making me finish my vegetables (crazy for me). Overall, I definitely need to come back to try the other dishes on the menu and it seems to be sooner than later. “This review is based on the pork banh mi sandwich alone. For an unassuming restaurant in a casino, I did not expect much. But they have a nice casual ambiance, and that sandwich was good! I'd definitely get it again! The pork was nice & juicy, with the right balance of pickled veggies. Price point was also not too exorbitant (plus some casino food credit, woohoo!). Next time I'm gambling at Sycuan, will definitely stop by for a bite of that pork banh mi sandwich again! ;)“
