12 Best Chicken Restaurants near Lakeside

“It was too busy and orders were coming out burnt (guy next to me), or in my case....cold. Fried zucchini
should come out hot. I don't think I've had that big of a problem here it's just between forgetting to put things in your bags when you're in the drive thru, things like that then of course there's the less food for more money thing. Try the times when they're not busy. I mean the food is good it's just inconsistent.“

“I love KFC pot pies. I Ubered a very smart and upbeat young man to his job site, KFC. The gifted pot pie was awesome. Thank you, Braxton, for making my day a better day and a tastier day, for sure. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

“Had a great experience at Dave’s Hot Chicken! What really stood out was the amazing customer service from Diego. He was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. It’s always nice when someone goes above and beyond to make your experience enjoyable. Thank you, Diego, for the great service! I’ll definitely be back“

“I’m just going to say it: the Sweet Country Blues Sandwich at Rise Southern Biscuits in El Cajon is the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had.

A sweet blueberry biscuit, savory sausage, American cheese and a fried egg. That combination sounds simple, but it is ridiculously good. The blueberry biscuit is sweet, buttery and soft, and that sweetness against the salty sausage, melted cheese and fried egg is absolutely perfect.

This is one of those rare things you order that halfway through eating it, you’re already thinking about when you can come back and get another one.

My advice? Skip everything else on the menu and get this. Don’t overthink it. Get the Sweet Country Blues Sandwich and you’ll thank me later.“

“Seems like the portions are getting smaller I went here to get the chicken and waffle meal it was decent the waffles could have used a little more toasting sandwich was good not great hashbrowns were good and got a lemonade they have good lemonade“

“very good food...service 👍“

“Great food and even better atmosphere and service today. This location had the sandwich and got them out in a timely manner!! Will definitely be back. 👍🏽💪🏽“

“The place was hoppin’ when we got there, a man wanted to know when his food would be ready, and the guy on the register was very polite, reasonable, reassuring and RESPECTFUL. We had a delay but not that long. The drive through made it very clear why. The employees were working fast and diligently, and I was, to say the least, pretty impressed. I read some of the negative reviews here and don’t think they are deserved, according to what I saw, on Tuesday.“

“Never a dull moment here! Came by tonight for the goods and while ordering my dog thought we were at Starbucks and kept barkinf qith excitement! Lol! Thanks to the staff for understanding and being amazing!! Keep up the great work as always!! We will be back!“

“The store is wonderful, the team really cares about its customers and will go above and beyond to help out customers when they're in need. It's a rare thing in 2026 to find a fast food that truly puts their customers first. Thank you to Victor and has team 🙏“
