“This Jack in the Box is SUBSTANTIALLY tastier than any other fast food chain I've visited, and this one in Lamont taste WAY better than every other Jack in the Box location I've been to. It actually feels like I get my money's worth since the total price for three people is around $35 on average, and I don't feel ripped off. Best fast food hands down, and even better with the app. Plus the workers there are great and will give you tons of sauce if you ask.I highly recommend the egg rolls and their cluck chicken sandwiches if you want something tasty.“
“I love having a WHOPPER everytime I can. I missed the old days WHOPPER warm & crispy. Now days are OK , but they used to be the best. I remember Burger ? king back in the day when the WHOPPER were warm & crispy , Burger ? king restaurants were as crowded as IN& OUT.Parking: They are a lot spots to park.“
“They are fast and nice they don't mess up but they always run out of broccoli cheese soup by the end of the week and right now they are needing to get their air conditioner fixed but other than no broccoli cheese soup and it being a bit warm in there ( this can be a good thing if you go to this Subway when it's a cold day ha ha )“
“Continuing my rural Lamont/Arvin series, Pop's Drive-In is a local burger joint that serves made-to-order burgers, salads, shakes, etc. Like the other reviewer mentioned, it's one of 6 burger joints you'll find lining up Main Street in Lamont, CA (3 local joints including Frosty King & Rootbeer King as well as the 3 big franchises-Jack's, McD's and most recently, Burger King). With a lot of choices to choose from, what sets Pop's apart is the fact that their food is really made-to-order. As a tip, you definitely want to call ahead if you work at GEI and only have 30 mins or an hour to spare for lunch. If you pull up to the drive thru, chances are you have at least 1-2 vehicles in front of you. Only reason why I'm going there today after religiously bringing my own lunch this week is that I forgot my lunch at home. I opted for a Grilled Chicken burger this time. Added avocado, onions and a side of their thousand island dressing and it was satisfaction. Not sure whether it was divine intervention or sheer will power, but I managed to order this meal without their perfectly seasoned fries or the strawberry lemonade. Either way, the burger was filling enough due to its massive size which is bigger than my handheld calculator. Pop's is also my go-to place for their Grilled Chicken Salad, which has the same grilled chicken breast that comes in the burger. Since healthier options in Lamont are rare with all the burger joints and Mexican restaurants, I found their salad provides a healthier option if you're looking for one. The salad usually comes with chopped Romaine lettuce, Persian cucumbers, green bell peppers, red onions, and cheese. They have 2 lemon wedges on the side and let me tell you, that acid just takes the salad to a whole new level. Order it with avocado and thousand island dressing and you'll keep ordering it, trust.“
“There were a lot of youngsters but overall they were far from problematic so I had a great breakfast listening to my favorite music with no disturbances and the food was ready soon after I ordered. Great spit for a quick bite to eat while on the go.Kid-friendliness: They gave a jungle gym inside which hasn't been available at many McDonald's in some time now so it made me happy to see that available.Wheelchair accessibility: There's multiple wheelchair accessible entrances leading to the main door, very cool.“
“The best burger there is available for the price. Everyone should have this fast food joint in their to do list. Went inside the store again on 11.7.23. The shift supervisor has a very bright career ahead of her as she exemplifies leadership in the best way. Modeling the way, encouraging the heart, and being direct but supportive were evident on display during the evening. For a young professional, I can see that she wS raised well and the staff had her back. Restaurant was clean and well kept. Food was amazing as always. Congratulations Stockdale Bakersfield.“
“I was in Bakersfield for the first time this year and since leaving Kern county I have soooo missed Indian food. I picked this place because it is new, I never ate here before, and because it opens earlier than the others. I was hungry at 10am. First off, yes, it is literally located in a gas station. This is the third Indian restaurant I have eaten at that is located inside of a gas station. That makes it a little bewildering at first. You walk in and you see mostly the regular chips, soda etc., and you're thinking here? ? ? There is an area with fairly nice tables but if I lived in Bakersfield I would probably get it to go, because, gas station. I got biryani which was excellent! This is a very flavorful dish, that isn't hot or spicy. The spices tasted fresh and savory. If you are new to this cuisine and you haven't tried anything beyond butter chicken I recommend every version of biryani. The portion was very generous.“
“In-N-Out is a West Coast treasure! Their burgers are delicious, made with fresh ingredients and perfectly cooked patties. The fries are crispy and addictive, and their shakes are thick and creamy. Plus, the service is always friendly and efficient. In-N-Out is a must-try for any burger lover!“
“Pops is just that one mom and "pop" shop which absolutely delivers every single time. The food is delicious no matter what you get. They have good service, though lines can get long sometimes. The ambience is okay, the inside is a bit dull but that doesn't really make a difference. Overall a great place to eat!“
“Very good service the food was so well done, I went today and it was much different. I don't know if they are different people who cook, but I went yesterday afternoon and when they served my food I told my wife "these are really the best hamburgers in Lamont", thanks to the person who prepared my food..“
