About L&L Hawaiian Barbecue

L&L Hawaiian Barbecue, formerly known as LB Hawaiian, offers a mixed experience. The food was amazing and affordable under the previous name, but since the buyout, prices increased by about 20% and the wait is twice as long. While the original staff remains nice, the new manager was not. The loco moco was more meh than wow, with thin, stale meat, though the rice and egg held it together; the macaroni salad was a tangy-fresh delight. The musubis are pretty good, with a Katsu one and a regular spam one being quite delicious and sold at a decent price. The bbq chicken with rice, Mac n cheese, and steamed veggies was pretty good, with nice flavor and vegetables that were just right. Service was excellent, with a kind and helpful older gentleman who seemed to be the owner. However, the taste of the food has been different lately, and one child did not want to eat. It remains a solid meal for students given the location, and many will give it another try.
