Manresa Bread Reviews
In the Palo Alto store today, I asked if they had an almond croissant and the woman behind the counter snapped “No, we have the almond escargot now, and they’re here to stay” - like I was the 100th person this morning to ask for an almond croissant. Lol. Not sure why they’ve stopped doing them. The almond escargot is not very good. The pastries here are in the $5-$7 range. There is very little seating.
Haven’t had the desserts yet, but I loved the whole wheat and Lepain loaves. Nice that they will slice the loaves for you if you like!

Manresa Bread is a bakery known for its delicious baked goods and friendly service. A popular menu item is the cheddar herb monkey bread, which can be enjoyed cold or warm. The almond escargot, similar to an almond croissant, is a customer favorite. The restaurant offers a variety of bread and pastries, with sourdough loaves and buttery croissants being particularly praised. The coffee is smooth and flavorful. Customers enjoy the pastries, with some noting they are better than before and that the almond escargot remains a favorite. The levain round bread, a wheat sourdough, is highly recommended for its healthy ingredients, crispy crust, and soft inside. While there is no seating inside, customers can enjoy their food on benches outside. The staff is helpful, nice, and encourages trying pastries with less sweetness. Some customers mention that the quiches are sizable and look good, though they are kept in the fridge and cannot be warmed up. Overall, Manresa Bread is a great spot for both coffee and pastries.
