“I live on the east bay but work in the peninsula. Was craving birra tacos and found them on yelp. My husband has food allergies but was willing to try the chicken soft tacos. I brought everything home across the 92. He didn't have an allergic reaction! He loved them so much, he asked me to buy them again afterwards work the next day! The birra tacos were delicious as well! The consume (dipping) is really good! Everything was wrapped nicely and still warm by the time I got home. The second day I tried a chicken burrito and that was delicious as well! I highly recommend!“
“My son and I were Eating beef and steak tacos and the tacos were great but could have a bit more spice, the service wasn't bad either we got our food in a minute or two and the tacos were different than any other tacos we have tasted and the salsas were great btw we will come back soon.Great foodTacos differ ncwSalsas was goodWe will come back“
“My favorite Mexican food around. Everything I’ve tried is delicious and fresh. I don’t eat meat but the fish and vegetarian options have been amazing.I love their fish tacos … fresh fish and the flavors are so fresh with mango and avocado and just the right amount of salsa, so it doesn’t cover the flavor of each ingredient which I think that’s the problem at some other places. Their aguachiles was mouthwatering and had a nice kick ?️ but they adjusted the spice level to my weak palate ? still had a kick! Their Gordita’s was my latest order. They have a vegetarian option with papas and nopales (that option isn’t available online but no problem on the phone or in person. I think there are less options online tho). They’re also kind and welcoming, great customer service. And todos hablan español y siempre me atienden genial. Will go back anytime I want Mexican food.“
“I gotta say for a food truck these guys are pretty top notch. I went with 2 steak tacos, 2 chorizo tacos, and a chorizo cheese taco. I washed it down with a Mexican Coca Cola and it was simply amazing.Parking: They're located in a private parking lot. I suppose you could park there. They also have a few picnic tables with a tent under them if you want to sit down and eat.“
“First time at this place. Was at the nearby Walmart, searched for Chile Verde, and this place showed up under the former name (Greenland Market). After reading reviews I felt this was the spot for me on this day. I'm glad I went with my instinct.Disclaimer, having only been here once I can only review what I had but I have high hopes for the other things after talking to someone who might be the boss.I had the Chile Verde plate and it was excellent. This is a standard dish I order at every place and use it to gauge whether I return or not. This place knocked it out of the park. Unlike most places that simply stew the pork, this place uses what must be their carnitas. It has that roasted flavor and the meat is succulent and super tender. The rice has good flavor, the salsa they provide has a kick, tortillas were tender and hot.I live about 45 minutes from this place but I will drive all the way here when I am not willing to compromise, and want great, not just good, Chile Verde.“
“Amazing food. You cannot miss this if you love Mexican food. Authentic flavor, real salsa, fresh cilantro and onions. and the team is super nice. Makes me feel like I am back in Mexico at my favorite taqueria. I come here once a week for lunch and it always hits the spot. I love the californiana style quesadillas - such a bang for the buck. The Califas taco is like a mini “sincronizada” and it is such a tasty take on how to serve up a taco. CANNOT MISS: the barbacoa. Only place I have found in the Bay that serves up homestyle barbacoa like this - not fatty and full of flavor. Lots of parking here at the gas station where the food truck is, and good prices for the size of the tacos.Vegetarian options: Veggie tacosParking: Super easy to find a spot here to park“
“Update: Visited again in Jan 2024 and still is the reigning king/queen of pozole in the Bay Area. This spot has the best Pozole in the Bay Area for only $9 a cup as of Dec. 2022. Make sure to try some of their orange sauce! Burritos are also delicious! I'm gonna come back to try some of the sangria too“
“The food is absolutely delicious, the owners are nice, and the music is rad. The Quesabirria comes with 3 large tacos with beef birria and cheese with a side of consume, radishes, onions, lebu, green and red salsa. The tacos tasted AWESOME! Wasn’t a fan of the onion. Consume was flavorful. Green and red salsa had a tie, equally tasty.“
“Great tasting tacos, enchiladas, burritos - and excellent value. Pastor, carne asada, camarones, tripas-yes, yes, yes, yes! Good, fast, friendly service. Parking can be tricky at Chevron, so park at McD's. They're only open until 5pm, so get your taco fix early.“
“Absolutely delicious food. Daniel knows how to make the most flavorful, juicy, and authentic tacos I've had. It's a food truck parked on Woodside Road next to the Safeway parking lot. The Crispy Barbacoa tacos are to die for. They're served with fresh salsas and consome to dip your tacos into. Support this restaurant and enjoy.“
“The owner gave us an excellent service, he is very nice and polite, food is delicious, my husband ordered a combo taco plate, we get a carne asada taco for our baby and I ordered enchiladas michoacanas it take a little long to get our food but it was worth it, definitely we recommend it.“
“Definitely come here for the tacos, they're 5/5. No complaints, absolutely delicious. The burritos aren't the best. They also put tomatoes-A LOT. I've never been to a taco truck that puts tomatoes on their burritos. Definitely ruined it for me. It was laking some flavor too. All in all, give this place a try. Order their tacos and you won't be disappointed!“
“SOOO GOOD!! We got the shrimp burrito, al pastor torta, and tried the seafood soup. LOVED everything — the burrito was filling and had amazingly fresh avocado, the seafood was super fresh, and the bread for the torta was sooo good. Definitely going to come back for more!!Service was quick and very friendly. Picnic seating and card accepted.“
“West side San Jose has a surprising amount of terrible Mexican food, so this location is a well deserved standout. You MUST try this place. Tacos are fairly priced! Soft tortillas, the asada pastor and lengua are nice quality. Good service. Quick food. Orange and green salsas are very good and very cold (always a good sign!). They are at this location THURSDAY and FRIDAY evenings. I believe other evenings they are at Hapas Brewing Co. Will definitely return every now and then for a quick, affordable, high quality Mexican meal.“
“YUMMY! Located outside San Carlos 24 Hour Fitness. We tried carne asada tacos and lingua borritos. Both were excellent, tender, tasty, and juicy. Curtido was perfect too. Will try tripe and pupusas next time. Friendly service and great food.“
“I like their food. I'm still trying to find my favorite thing from here. They come to my apartment complex occasionally. I think of the things I've tried, the shrimp burrito is my favorite. Their shrimp is so plump and cooked perfectly. Perfectly cooked shrimp is like a unicorn, and they nail it!Their ordering/pick up system stresses me out. They don't give you a number or take your name, you just have to remember who was in front of you or hope they remember your face with your order. I was given the wrong order once and numbers/names could totally solve this so I don't get it!“
“IThis was our first time at Pacific Catch and we will definitely be back. We were able to get a same day reservation easily and were greeted, and seated promptly. The waiter was attentive and food was served quickly as well. We didn't love the Asian spice on the coconut shrimp appetizer, but the Miso Black Cod and Yellowtail dinners were awesome! Loved the sides as well, especially the black rice with mushrooms. The blood orange margarita was also excellent.“
“It is the staff at Pacific Catch Cupertino that really makes dining there such a treat. It's like having drinks and dinner at a Friend's house only they cook you whatever you want. Galinda continues to be the most wonderful person. Oh yeah, great drinks, great food and if you are not doing the rewards program you are crazy!“
“Amazing taco spot that I visited located in the parking lot of the Shell gas station. Spoke with the nice lady who took my order and she mentioned they have been there for about 4 months now and I can’t believe I haven’t come sooner! Tried an assortment of their tacos: al pastor (they ask if you’d like pineapple on it), pollo, chorizo, as well as asada. My favorite was the pastor and chorizo as those are my go to’s but the pollo and asada were also delicious. Can’t wait to try their other menu items but wanted to start with the tacos to see how it went, until next time!“
“Nice guys taking the order and making the food, easy location, delicious food! Seafood is yum, fresh and tasty. Fish burrito is yum. Quesabirrias plate is yum -only Fri/ Sat/ Mon! No tables, but eating on the liquor curb or at your trunk works.“
“I was genuinely blown away at how good the food is here. I’ve been to MANY taco places all over the world and can confidently say that Tacos Azteca knows and has perfected their craft. I’ve tried almost every type of taco on the menu and legitimately cannot choose a favorite as they are all extremely delicious. The service is quick and the staff is kind. This place is easily worth a trip to try.“
“This place is actually really really nice the staff is really friendly and eager to help out the food is really great and it's also very clean you're in town want to grab a bite to eat or just want to come and pick up a few items for dinner definitely the place to be“
“Don't be fooled by this small size of this taqueria, it's packed with big taste. I'm a big fan of the burritos; can't go wrong with asada or pastor. The two girls who took and made my order are always really great and quick. I drool a little every-time I think about stopping by. Highly recommend this spot!!“
“Really good birria!! Meat was flavorful and the cosume was awesome. The only downfall is that you can't eat in the parking lot or anywhere close. If you don't live nearby to enjoy the food, you'll have to find a parking lot to inhale the goodness of the food. Finely recommend!“
“My fiancé and I enjoy coming here! This location has a nice atmosphere with a large interior, a nice outdoor space with fire heaters, as well as a bar inside.I have only tried a few food items here, but have always enjoyed getting the protein bowls (pictured is the “Mexican Grill” bowl with shrimp from tonight). Some of the cocktails are tasty as well. We recommend trying one or both of the cocktails with passion fruit.Just wanted to throw a positive review out there since we’ve been here at least five times now, and I got a couple nice photos of our food today! ?“
“Fun place for a quick outing. Not an indictment on this particular location but just the brand, I personally wish there were more holes for the table top golf. That was way more fun for me personally as opposed to the mini golf. Oh and customer service was welcoming and friendly.“
“I was in the area for work and stopped by for a quick lunch before heading back to SJ. There wasn't a line and my order came out very quickly. And there's plenty of picnic tables to eat on. El Califas is pretty good but somewhat on the pricey side. They also charge ~$1 if you use card. That said, they are pretty generous with their meat portions. My favorite was the barbacoa -- wasn't overly salty, just right.“
“We stopped by here randomly and had steak and chicken tacos. It was very delicious even though I do recommend the beef taco more. The spicy sauce is pretty spicy, but I highly recommend it. I definitely recommend having the tacos with the sauce.“
““Experience” lunch was advertised on Open Table but not mentioned in the restaurant. We asked askedour server said they were no longer offering it. Because we asked, we were able to get the deal! Food was very fresh; tacos served with a variety of sauces - they should be labeled! Waiters don't write down orders to enter into the electronic ordering system. He had to ask twice and there was an error in one order, which they promptly corrected. We were there during a quiet time and service was very attentive.“
“Great tacos. Carne asada 4/5, Al Pastor 4.5/5, Chicken 5/5. Some of the best chicken tacos I've had. Unfortunately no tripe available. Spicy tacos were nice and hot, tortillas were tasty, and came with a roasted jalapeño. Agua de Jamaica was great as well.“
“Quieren un burrito que les quite el hambre, y los llene de sabor? Pidan un súper burrito de asada con chorizo no les fallara al paladar! La atención la verdad siempre es buena, pido limón eextra y con gusto me dan no una rebanada más, no dos, me dan 3! Y no andan cobrandotelo. Las salsas muy buenas, y el servicio es rápido. No tardan 5 minutos antes de darte tu comida. Y tienen unas bancas donde sentarse al aire libre pero tapados del sol. Muy agradable, recomendable, y sin duda, muy delicioso“
“Title: Delicious Tacos with a Convenient Location, but Pricey and Lacking in Customer ServiceEl Grullense has been my beloved dining spot for many years, and it never fails to impress with its awesome food and delightful flavors. The tacos they serve are bursting with tasty goodness and an incredible array of flavors that keep me coming back time and time again. The taste is consistently outstanding, showcasing the culinary expertise that defines this establishment. However, it's hard to overlook the pricing issue. Over the years, the cost of their tacos has steadily risen, nearing the $4 mark when ordering Lengua tacos. While the flavors justify some premium pricing, the higher costs make it a bit challenging to enjoy these delectable treats as frequently as one might desire. Moreover, I must acknowledge that El Grullense falls short in terms of customer service. The employees can be a bit rude, lacking the warm and welcoming demeanor that enhances the dining experience. It would greatly benefit the establishment to invest in improving their customer service, making each visit a more enjoyable and pleasant experience.Furthermore, requesting extra condiments seems to be met with confusion or disapproval. A more accommodating approach towards fulfilling customer requests for additional toppings would enhance the overall experience and leave patrons feeling more satisfied.Nonetheless, one of the standout advantages of El Grullense is its convenient location. Situated in an excellent area, it offers accessibility and ease for diners, making it a go-to spot for those seeking a quick and tasty meal.In summary, El Grullense offers delicious tacos with an impressive range of flavors and a convenient location. However, the rising prices, lacking customer service, and difficulty in obtaining extra condiments detract from the overall experience. If you're willing to overlook these downsides, it's worth a visit for the flavorful tacos.“
“The FOOD! Bomb and so underrated. Parking limited so plan ahead. They have an outside venue with great ambiance. The service is worth the wait, they ask you questions and spark conversation, very friendly and nice people who work here. Food is 10/10 i recommend the papa loca, their spicy sauce“
“Husband craving a burrito but saw fish instead. Mojarra Frita. It was a fried tilapia with rice and beans, side salad and tortillas. It was large enough for us to share and make 5 tacos. The condiments at the bar made it even more flavorful along with chips and salsa. A nice lunch reminiscent of a recent Baja trip.“
“We had asked the server we didn't want coleslaw and we wanted a sub side my sister could eat. But he still brought us coleslaw that had to be tossed since I didn't want it either so unfortunately the side went to waste. The side we had placed that my sister didn't have allergies with was Brussels sprout and it was not considered a replacement for something that she was allergic to. So was a little disappointed. Other than that the food was good.“
“Place has good food. Good presentation and visual for the food. The restaurant is designed alot to accommodate a drive through experience. They have inside sitting but not alot of space. The area to order is pretty cramped. So, ordering with multiple ppl in line would be pretty uncomfortable. Best to do here is food through.“
