Our Elite Tabletop Family cannot say enough great things about Cafe 50’s! From the way we were GREETED, TREATED, & SERVED, to the way they’ve continued to treat our daughter like FAMILY since she’s arrived in Santa Monica. Cafe 50's Diner is a great place which gives you probably the 50s vibe with a jukebox playing good old music and photos posters from the yesteryears. The retro vibe really stands out, with classic décor and a nostalgic atmosphere that makes the whole experience feel unique. The staff is really good, outstanding, friendly, prompt on service, and very nice and polite. The food is great, fresh, delicious, and very flavorful. The menu has a great variety, from hearty breakfast options to classic diner favorites. Portion sizes were great. Specific meals mentioned include the breakfast burrito, the Philly cheesesteak, hearty healthy omelette, banana walnut pancakes, a bowl of the Turkey Chili, cinnamon banana French toast, eggs benedict, potato skins, and the tuna melt combo. The milk shakes (Oreo and chocolate) were oh so good, and the strawberry cheesecake shake and Date and Honey Shake were wonderfully tasty. It’s a fun, easygoing spot that balances personality and quality. Definitely worth experiencing if you are in LA and a go-to if you’re craving a classic diner experience with a fun twist.
