Plaza NIGHTCLUB AND DANCE HALL Bar • $$
739 N La Brea Ave, Los Angeles

“Incredible time this past Saturday Night! LOVE IT HERE!!! I am looking for some clarification if anyone knows: I am having a hard time (since there appears not to be an official Plaza Dance Hall website) knowing which pages listing their nights open are right and which are wrong so we can go back! The plazas google page says open fri and Sat only but a page like this (restaurantguru.com/Plaza…) lists other open nights. I know they do third Thursdays but I want to know if they really are open on just Fri and Sat permanently as of August 2023?. Anyone have a reliable link on the internet for more info on the plaza that we can trust? We would also love to be able to click and know the performers names that we see and their info! THANKS FOR A GREAT NIGHT!!“

Honey's at Star Love Bar •
1532 N Western Ave, Los Angeles

“I came here with a handful of friends for the last minute set for Romy this past weekend. I had such a great time here. The place was flooded with people and with good reason (Romy was the special guest DJ, duh). Besides the fact that they had a special guest dj playing, they also had a really fun and exciting vibe here. The drinks are LA prices (about $15 a cocktail), but the vibes at this bar were awesome. This is also a LGBTQ-friendly bar! This bar is pretty small, which makes for an intimate space. You could also easily miss this spot if you didn't know the address, which makes it all the better! Definitely check out their events on their social!“

Precinct Gay Bar • $$
357 S Broadway, Los Angeles

“Decided to go on my last night in Los Angeles, and it was very good. Johnny was great, he was attentive without being much. He made great drinks! But when his shift ended the next bartender, I didn't get his name, he barely looked at me when my drink was out, he kept talking to someone though. I had to move into his eyesight for him to get me another drink, twice. I was standing maybe 3 feet away. But let me tell ya, the chicken tenders are amazing! Johnny recommended them and he's right. He said they aren't the frozen kind but actually home made. So so very delicious!“

Redz Angelz Gay Bar • $$
2218 1st St, Los Angeles

“Local, East Los bar near the Hollenbeck police station and LA public library. Limited street parking. Watch street signs for parkIng restrictions.Felt as though I were in México, not in Distrito Federal but in a less cosmopolitan city where in the old days Straights and Gays kind of mixed together although in some bigger venues there were areas where Gays had their own corner. Redz Bar is too small for separation, and it makes it hard to determine who is who. I was there on a busy Saturday around 9pm. All the tables were taken by party goers. I stole one of the few bar stools still left. Beer & wine bar:Ordered a Michelada that is bloody mary mix from a bottle, lemon juice, worchester sauce?, Modelo Mexican beer. The lip of the huge mug is lined with a salty, not very piquant chile powder like El Tajín. It's a refreshing, savory, Umami bomb just perfect on a hot day or night. My first Michelada ever. So I look around and it seems like a regular neighborhood Latino bar. If there are any Gays they were sprinkled around and not particularly & obviously visible. The friendly bartendress offered a free plate of antojitos / snacks which consisted of a small Tamal de Puerco con Salsa de Chile Colorado, and a bowl of Bírria soup in consommé w/ a small piece of goat. To me this Bírria tasted closer to a Pozole. Very hospitable gesture by Redz to give out such a tasty mini-meal. Redz caters to an East Los Angeles clientele. It's a liitle piece of México. Music is loud with Norteño & Son Afro-Mexican music from Veracruz tonight. I felt comfortable, and a nice Latina lady sitting next to me talked in her limited English and I in limited Spanish. Nice way to experience the East Los scene. 4 stars.“

Eagle LA Gay Bar •
4219 Santa Monica Blvd, Los Angeles

“The past few weeks... the Eagle - LA has been like another other home. I recently competed for the Mr. Bear LA 2024 title here (let's just say I'm the unofficial Mr. Bear Congeniality for 2024 lol)... I didn't take home the title, but I still feel like a winner and had the best time. The competition like many title based ones in the community is sponsored and held at this one of kind gay owned & operated establishment celebrating many layers as well as sub layers of the LGBTQIA+ that I'm beyond proud to be apart of. Eagle - LA/Los Angeles has gone by many names is decades past, including the Shed, Outcast, Gauntlet II (not to be confused with the MTV series) and reborn once again and going strong for the last nearly 18 years (2006). I've seen this place become even more inclusive than previous years, not just celebrating the massive leather community but the bear, pup, uniform, and kink communities as well. They've held some incredible fundraising for organizations and charities. Celebrate their staff as well as others. All are very much welcomed regardless of gender, gender identity, sexuality or even drink preferences lol... The bar itself has a large patio + multiple rooms, including two billiard tables, multiple flat screens, main stage, three bars, a private restroom, and a larger restroom. Typically, prices vary due to them having happy hour pricing during the daytime, including their Sunday (Funday) Beer Bust at 2PM until 8/ 9 pm every week. Incredible DJs, sound system, acoustics, and performances throughout the week... Meat Rack on every other Saturday being one of the largest. No cover before certain times and definitely zero if a none event night. You can catch some movies in the BG, drag race on Fridays before 9 pm during each season, and some not for the faint of heart content as well... 21 & older only! Parking is one of the only difficult things you may encounter as this area is a mix of residential and other small businesses as well as large ones like Erewhon. Blocked on Instagram a few months ago from tagging them in stories and personal post promoting the bar aside o.O hahaha... This bar has grown on me more. Great people, great bartenders/staff, memories, stories, and fun! The owner, Charlie, is one heck of a guy. Rest & Rock in Power Clint“

“I always loved this bar. It feels so comforting and welcoming. Every other bar or club in LA has some specific click it caters to and although this does seem to bring an older crowed, it really has a little bit of everybody. It's a small cozy place but enough room to dance. It always feels so safe here and everyone is always so friendly. This is definitely the bar to come to if you're also going solo. There's always a few solo or duo people and it's so chill so you won't feel awkward or anything. There's also a stage in the back I believe but I haven't been in a while so not entirely too sure. The drink prices are pretty decent as well. This is a great place to pregame or if you want to talk and hang with friends. It can get busy and loud so that's not always the case but either way a fun bar.“
