Spice District is under new ownership with lots of new improvements. The place has been cleaned up completely, like a total new store with lots of options. It is only vegan or vegetarian food. The food is amazing, delicious, and freshly prepared HOT food at reasonable prices. Each combination includes multiple entree dishes with rice, yogurt, salad, spicy pickled chili, and chapati. The lunch/dinner combo includes a mango lassi, salad, rice, 2 vegan dishes, a potato/peas somosa, flat bread, and yogurt sauce for around $14.50. They have a wide choice of sweet desserts and Indian sweets. The attached grocery store is a shopper's dream, with a large variety of Indian edibles, fresh vegetables, pots, wares, incense, sacred ceremony supplies, decorations, and clothing. It is a family-run local business where customers are treated respectfully. The food can be very spicy, so capsaicin-intolerant guests should try dishes that are not spicy. Everything is delicious, vegan friendly, and the staff is delightful.
