There is something consistently satisfying about the Jollibee fast food chain from the Philippines. They've really got fried chicken dialed in with the ChickenJoy formula. The way that crispy skin and batter comes out is too good. Most fried chicken places usually provides hot sauce to accompany, Jollibee also has a delicious gravy to swab their chicken in. Finally a Jolibee in downtown Los Angeles! Right across the street from Macy's and Joey's. A great spot and luckily they have a security guard too because it can get pretty sketchy around that sidewalk near the Train station stairs.Ordered the Chicken Joy 2 piece with Palabok. Excellent flavor as expected and the fried chicken was awesome. If you've eaten at a Jolibee before they all pretty much taste the same.This is the first Jolibee I've seen with a second floor with more seating....read full review

To be clear, I LOVE Jolibee, but this particular location really has to get it together in terms of getting food out. Waiting 10 min, with the spicy chicken sandwich on the tray for 5 min waiting for just a cup of mashed potatoes is unacceptable in a less than busy store. They seem to be losing hard to takeout orders. Gotta get a handle on this.
