It was very nice. Loved the hellos and thank you for coming. I can’t wait to come back next time I visit the area.
Best Japanese restaurant hands down definitely worth the price! Always go here when in LA I love the chicken katsu curry and my friends loved their meals too!

Had an awesome meal here! The ramen was full of bold flavor, and the salmon rice ball was a perfect snack before the main course. The chicken katsu curry was another highlight and came in a generous portion. The seating was clean, comfy, and made the whole experience feel relaxed. The team was polite and efficient, and the prices were very reasonable. We left happy, full, and already talking about what we'll order next time.

Kouraku Japanese Ramen & Grill has been a popular spot in Little Tokyo for about 40 years, known for serving Japanese comfort food in a cozy and nostalgic setting. The restaurant offers a wide menu with many satisfying dishes, including the well-loved Tenshin Chahan Ankake, a shrimp omelette served over pork fried rice with gravy, and Pork Cutlet with curry, which is hot and very good. Customers also enjoy the shrimp tempura and the hearty katsu curry plate, which, though it takes some time to prepare, is definitely worth the wait. The atmosphere is comfortable with a vintage vibe that reminds visitors of Japan, and the friendly staff provides fast and efficient service. Guests can order through a QR code, and their food arrives quickly. As one of the oldest ramen restaurants in Los Angeles, Kouraku also features a fun cat robot that entertains diners, making the visit even more special. Many customers find that dishes like Hiyashi Chuka, Katsudon, and Katsu Curry are more satisfying than some ramen options. Parking can be challenging, but visitors often enjoy strolling through Little Tokyo after their meal. Overall, Kouraku remains a beloved place for hearty, comforting Japanese dishes in a warm, inviting setting.
