Lucy's Drive In offers a diverse menu, ranging from delectable Mexican dishes to classic American fare. The breakfast menu is a standout, with options like the chorizo and eggs plate, which features generous portions and comes with rice, beans, tortillas, avocado slices, salsa, and chips. The French toast, eggs, and bacon are also highly praised. The cheeseburger and fries are reliable choices, and the fish and chips, as well as the shrimp and chips, are customer favorites, featuring a crispy, spicy batter and onion rings. Lucy's Drive In caters to both Mexican and American tastes, providing a satisfying dining experience.
Customers praise the fresh and delicious food, with the $2.99 hot dogs and fries for lunch and the beef tacos or chicken quesadilla being popular choices. The late-night customer service can be inconsistent, with some reports of poor attitude and ignoring basic requests, but the majority of the staff is described as nice and helpful. Many customers also enjoy the breakfast burrito, saying it hits the spot with quick service and refreshing salsa. The Spanish omelet and breakfast sausage burrito are noted for being flavorful, satisfying, and served with generous portions at fair prices. The place has a relaxed atmosphere, perfect for breakfast or lunch. Some customers also enjoy the carne Asada tacos, which are large, hot, and freshly made, served with crispy corn chips, salsa, and a small bag of pickled jalapeños and carrots, although the salsa and peppers are not very hot unless extra spicy sauces are requested.
