I ordered a birthday cake for the first time, let me place the order with no problem. I promise to come back to make payment, but I couldn’t. I made a call day before to confirm my pick up and they were so nice, my cake was ready, when I arrive and I was able to make payment on the pick up day, the cake was so delicious and fresh!
I went in to Rubio's since I live near by and was curious and I'm glad I did. The service is very friendly and attentive. At about 9:45am there were quite a few people enjoying breakfast which is always a good sign. The cases are split between bakery and savory. I obviously had to try something from each. Placed a request for a custom cake with a picture on top for about 10 people in a circle shape, they agreed to do so and when the time of picking up order came, the cake was square shaped. So they did whatever they wanted to regardless of a request they agreed to, and the writing on the cake saying "happy birthday" was smeared and unreadable.
