About East Garden Restaurant

East Garden Restaurant is a popular spot in Chinatown, offering affordable prices without sacrificing taste. The dim sum menu features a variety of dishes, including Shiu mai, Har gor, and BBQ pork noodle roll, with prices starting at $4.99 each. The restaurant also offers a $9.99 package deal, which includes one item from each of two categories. Other popular dishes include cashew chicken, French beef, and garlic spareribs. The restaurant is convenient, with a parking lot nearby, but customers should note that there is no free parking—either pay to park at the meter or $7 per visit in the plaza parking lot. The restaurant is generally clean and inviting, with good service typical of a Chinese restaurant. The food is flavorful, with some dishes like the pork chops being a bit salty due to MSG, but still very tasty. The dim sum items, such as Har Gow and Shiu mai, are highly enjoyed, and entrees like Chow Mein and beef dry noodles are well-liked. Overall, East Garden Restaurant offers good value for money, even if portions can be on the smaller side. Customers have expressed high satisfaction and look forward to returning. Note that after all charges, a mandatory 18% tip is added for lunch.

Classic canto Chinese restaurant in Chinatown. Grew up coming here and the nostalgia hit well.

We ordered the shrimp & sole fish with spicy salt and beef with string beans. All were very good, lots of garlic, bits of spicy and copious amounts of green onions. These classic dishes hit the spot and the service was good with the complimentary tea (osmanthus) & was water.

Very good Chinese cuisine
Try out their crispy fried tofu ♥♥♥

The food here is good and plentiful. But, the waitress acted uninterested in serving me. Considering the forced gratuity. She should have treated me better.
