Seong Buk Dong Reviews
Busy and noisy -- but very tasty. I like a place that takes you at your word when you say you like spicy food.
Galbi jjim and grilled mackerel were extremely tasty, two meals for two people. Variety of banchan tasted homemade. I like the strong barley tea too
Open late until 10, we came at 9 and they welcomed us. Food took a bit of time to come out because they cooked it fresh. Def recommend trying these two dishes!
This is my favorite Korean restaurant in ktown. The gabli Jim is so tender and flavorful. All of their soups/stews are delicious as well and the banchan never disappoints. The service is always warm at this mom n pop spot too. Highly recommend!

Seong Buk Dong is a cozy and welcoming Korean restaurant that offers an exceptional dining experience. The Galbi Jjim, a standout dish, is described as absolutely amazing, with tender meat and a flavorful sauce that keeps diners coming back for more. The banchan, or small shared plates, are also praised as delicious, with free refills and generous portions. While the restaurant may be small, it provides a comfortable and inviting atmosphere perfect for catching up with friends. The staff is friendly and warm, though the service can be slower during busy times, with only one waitress on duty at times. Highlights of the menu include the Nakji Doljot Bibimbop, with its crispy rice, and the all soondubu with beef or seafood, which is well-liked for its flavorful broth, plenty of meat, and tofu. The seafood pancake is also a standout item, loaded with seafood and chives, making it crispy and not overly doughy. Despite the potential for long waits, the overall consensus is that the authentic and delectable Korean cuisine makes Seong Buk Dong well worth the visit.
