I'm giving 4 stars only because of the price. I think $5 for a plain croissant is pretty up there. It was one of the better croissants I've had, but I think $5 is a little much. I would only get the morning bun as it tastes good and is unique. In terms of the other pasties you can kind of get those anywhere else. Definitely wouldn't come here to buy pastries for a small party or event as it could get really expensive. You can do the math.
After having only visited Tartine in San Francisco, I was delighted to stumble across this location in Los Angeles. On a hot summer day, with tables and umbrellas outside, it was a no brainer to grab lunch and of course a loaf of bread and pastries to go. Wishing all the best to this location. The staff was helpful, the food was delicious and the bread, of course, was amazing. I'll visit return and hopefully, often.

I got coffee, sweet danish( baked to perfection)& a wheat bread pack(one of the most delicious & aerated )!! Much recommended for food, one minus for atmosphere coz they have just some outdoor benches,no rest room.I drove from SD and stopped by for breakfast and had to pick food & eat in the car coz it was raining !
