“Mean Chix did not disappoint! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked to order.

* Combo #2 (Mean Sandwich, 1 Tender, Kale Slaw & House Sauce) -
The sandwich was crispy, juicy, and packed with flavor. The tender was excellent, and the kale slaw and house sauce complemented everything perfectly.

* Mac & Cheese (Mild) -
Creamy, cheesy, and delicious. The perfect side to pair with the chicken. Next time I may take it up a notch to medium for a different taste experience.
The atmosphere feels similar to a classic burger spot; casual and welcoming. I chose to eat inside, where there was some noise, but it was completely bearable. If you prefer, there is also ample outdoor seating available.

The service was friendly and attentive. Wendy, along with who I assume was the owner, were both helpful, welcoming, and made sure I was taken care of throughout my visit.

Expect about a 10-15 minute wait for your food, but that's because everything is made fresh to order. The quality was well worth the wait.

“Decided to stop by here on the way to LA after a delicious ice cream treat. We ordered quesadillas and their tacos. The food was spot on and this is after us having some ice cream. The food is prepared outside on the parking lot in front of the store. I love their green sauce and they’re very generous with their cilantro and onions. The service was amazing as the young lady made great recommendations and she was very nice. The ambience is nice because you have a choice of sitting outside on a nice day or if it’s cold you have the choice to sit inside the marketplace.“

“Excellent service by Freddie as soon as we walked in- menu is extensive and creative and HALAL. Chili isn’t halal but clearly and respectfully stated- no fear of contamination as it’s stored securely and separated.
Chicken and waffles was amazing- dogs were pretty good- turkey bacon was weak I’d recommend deen brand halal beef bacon as it’s MUCH better especially for hot dogs. Overall would return.“

“I was there in California from another state. We ordered jalapeños beef burgers, halwa puri platters, beef seekh kabobs with rice platter, masala fries, mango lassi and sweet lassi. Each and every single food item was fresh and hot, seekh kabobs were so juicy and perfect flavor, cholay were soft and with some light gravy to eat with puri. Aalo were soft yet some small size chunks in plate with light gravy, and halwa that you just don’t want to stop eating. My kids are very picky eaters but they loved each and every single thing we ordered from this restaurant. Beef burger was so yummy that my daughter kept ordering the next time we went there again. We ended up going 3 times in our 1 week trip. We tried their fried chicken the third day, oh my gosh it’s just one of the best fried chicken ever. We were so glad that we were able to find a halal restaurant with all the choices at one place for our kids and adults. Last but not the least, their prices were very reasonable and the staff was very nice and friendly.“

“Went to get a take out butter chicken pizza. When I got home I was amazed how much toppings they added to the pizza. The whole pizza was filled with chicken! They don't skimp on thier meats! “I am a fool for not trying out Chef Arango sooner. I live very close, 10 mins or less away. I also moved to the area 4 years ago and only now am I coming here. After this visit I will easily be back and I will be back often.

Chef Arango is comfort food at its finest. The prices are phenomenal, the quantity is bountiful, the food is made fresh with it still being piping hot, and the food is simply yummy. This restaurant and team is like being cooked for by your family. I really don’t know how else to describe this restaurant and team and food. It’s like sitting down for a meal at your mum’s, or auntie’s or ammachi’s (Indian word for “grandma”) home. Simply a delicious, warming, and hearty meal!

I just can’t get over the fact that I paid $22.50 after tax (2026 prices) and got a very filling meal that was amazing tasting, freshly made, and came with loads of meat. I regret not coming sooner even though I’ve passed by hundreds of time. I will try to atone for my sins by coming back as frequently as possible!“

“I'm at a loss for words, but I'll try my best. Food? Amazing! Perfect amount of seasoning and the portions are huge! And this is coming from a big dude. For the appetizers, my favorites were the Kashk E'bademjan (Eggplant Delight), Potato Salad, and the Hummus! They have more selections, but this is what I was able to try. I hear all are great! For the Entrees, ALL OF THEIR KABOBS ARE FIRE (MMM MMMM YUMMY). I had a sample of most them and in the islands, we would say "broke da mouf kine", which translates to, the food is *beep beep* GOOD! If you've never had Persian Food, or you love it, this is the restaurant for you! Drinks? I love Korean Soju and Cass beer, so yeah, +10 points from me. They do carry various Wines and Beers though...and of course your choice of Soda Pop. Atmosphere? It' gives you a Kewl Kids Vibe; a classy place where you can be yourself with family and friends and just enjoy each others company. You have your choice of Indoor and Outdoor dinning which is amazing. There's also a private room upstairs that can hold 20 people for a meal and karaoke (there is a fee to reserve, but very much worth it). Staff? We were greeted at the door as if we were coming home. Pasha and his staff go above and beyond to make sure all your needs are met. Their suggestions on meal and drink pairings are spot on. I can't thank Pasha and the crew for making our group outing a success. Overall? I'll be going back and I hope that you add this restaurant to your list of 'go to' places to dine at. You will not be disappointed, I promise you. (Unless your attitude stinks or you're not willing to try new food ‍) Pasha again, thank you so much for the hospitality. “Quality Indonesian restaurant with real Kechup. We went for Father’s Day and didn’t have a long wait for seating. The staff was friendly and patient with our ordering and questions about the menu. I had just returned from several months in Indonesia the food at Toko Rame was pretty authentic and had a good taste of Indonesian flavor. I ordered the egg noodles with chicken and ate everything😊 There are some lunch specials and they have many traditional Indonesian drinks. I shared the menu with my friend in Jakarta and she said the menu had many items common in Sumatra. I’d recommend it and try a few different items to get a good variety since it’s hard to decide if you like it based on one dish. They seemed to do a good take-out business while I was there also.“

“This is a family-run business, specializing in a small menu that is done well. This is authentic Mexican food. The chicken is cooked on a barbecue, open air. It’s delicious. “First off all, I went to the Hawthorne blvd location during the heatwave and it was nice and air conditioned! So that was good. But everything was super clean and the guy at the counter was really friendly and nice as was the guy bussing tables. And the food was yummy! I dunno what they put in that rub but it’s delicious and Dave’s dipping sauce is amazing! Plus I like it cuz I’m a vegetarian and they have cauliflower.

A) No, to Pak. I went to Pak Halal in Artesia.

Q) Oh, I see. Was this your first time visiting?
A) Yes, Rodney. A few Muslim gym buddies o' mine kept recommending Pak Halal, so of course I had to give the place a shot.

Q) What did you order?
A) Being my first time, I gave the Special Dishes display a thorough perusing.

Knowing I wanted a beef or mutton entree, after much thought & deliberation, I went all in on Pak Halal's Beef Nihari.

Q) Rodney, how was the Beef Nihari?
A) Spiced tender beef, swimming in flavorful broth. I enjoyed the Beef Nihari. I prefer a solid amount of fat to meat, and the Beef Nihari had just what I was looking for. Ample portions, with enough to fill up on. Speaking of filling up, the ginormous Garlic Naan provided a lot of garlicky carbs, made all the more better when soaking up with the Beef Nihari broth

Q) How was the service, and what are the seating arrangements?
A) Rodney, the service was good. The wait wasn't unreasonable. Being a small deli, there is a table or two inside & outside. Pak Halal is more an order ahead, grab n' go eatery. The railing outside Pak Halal acts as a standing communal table, in which I used to dine on my meal.

Q) Rodney, would you recommend Pak Halal?
A) Absolutely, Rodney! The food was great at Pak Halal, and when I'm in a hurry and not looking for a sit-down restaurant experience, I know I can head over to Pak Halal and order something to go, or enjoy a quick meal on the railing, before life's troubles beckon me, elsewhere“

“I’m really pleased and delightfully surprised! As someone who loves Indian cuisine, I was scared to order because of some of the one star reviews, but the food was GREAT! I got the medium chicken tikka masala which wasn’t too spicy so i’d move up spice levels if you like spice. The portions are generous and the chicken was tender, sauce was flavorful. The vegetable samosas were large and perfectly seasoned, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. It comes with complimentary mint chutney and tamarind sauce too, which were so good. There is a BOGO deal on doordash which gives you so much bang for your buck. I highly recommend this place since it’s open late, and i’ll definitely be back!

This time I picked up some lamb chops and they were beautiful—fresh, clean, and great quality. Hamza took care of me and provided excellent customer service.
