“Ample parking and great Ugyhur food. We tried a variety of dishes and they came out fresh and with generous portions. We tried their big plate chicken which was tasty, the laghman was totally worth the visit as well. The manta was made fresh and delicious. The Ugyhur milk tea was also an experience, salty and buttery. I look forward to visiting again and trying more items.“
“Bomb shwarma spot! Highly recommended. The wraps are filled with meat and delicious veggies. The sauces are very tasty as well. The size of the wraps are big and could probably feed two people. They also have dumplings that looked really good which I will probably try next time I'm there. Add jalapeños, it gives the perfect spice to the wrap.“
“Lets see, where do I begin the SUPERLATIVE Impressions I got from this Sweet, Wholesome, Amazingly Mouthwatering Little Restaurant named "Mediterranean Grill". Now dont be fooled by its simple name. They have a lot of Soul and Heart: Charming, Quaint Location with plenty of Parking. Scrumptiously DELICIOUS, flavorful food; FRESH, Quality Ingredients. The Cleanliness of the whole Place is comforting, with a great flow of Feng Shui lol including the spotless Restroom. Coz you know Girls gotta go several times haha and Finally, the Piece the Resistance lol Management and Service. EDDIE the Manager slash Owner (Im assuming lol) is Such a Great and Pure Hearted Man of God. A Great Leader. With the most Positive, Welcoming, engaging, Kind Attitude to All the customers. I saw him delegating Tasks to his Employees and hes very well Respected. His ELEGANCE in professionalism and the attention to Detail is Exceptional. When I told Him how I wanted my Food in a certain way, he made it to grand PERFECTION. He even made sure to ask me "Did we get it Right, Miss? Do You like it?" To which I answered I LOVE IT. And I Love him, and I love this Place. And lemme tell You, as this is a very BOLD CLAIM to make, but Hey Im a Bold Woman. And I can say it with great CONFIDENCE, this is the best Mediterranean Place in all of Pasadena, perhaps even Los Angeles. Better than Raffi's in Glendale lol Yea I said it. Better than Zankous Chicken, and def Better than Cafe X20 . And trust me all these other places aforementioned are all Good! But "Mediterranean Grill" trumps All of them. You know the Saying "YOU COME for the FOOD, but you Come Back for the SERVICE" well it doesnt get any True-er and better than this wonderful, full of food Dopamine, Satisfying Food, and positive Aura place. Why? Coz Im DEF coming back. And if I cant make it, Im def ordering for Delivery.“
“What a lovely establishment! Delicious, spice-rich food with incredible service (shout out to Mr. Nasir for the warm welcome and wonderful customer service!). In all, we had their vegetable samosas, zafron pilau rice, peshwari naan, chicken butter makhani, fish coconut meen molee, saag paneer, and mango lassi for drinks. The samosas: crispy exterior, piping hot and potatoey interior with flavorful spice, coupled with that amazing date and tamarind chutney! No words. True to their name, they don't skimp out on the cardamom, which wonderfully perfumes the zafron rice. Although heads up, make sure to search through the rice and pick out the cardamom pods or you're going to be punched in the face with spice intensity (speaking from experience...). My friend and I love spicy, so we requested just shy of their spiciest level for all three of our main dishes. That peshwari naan really heightened the experience with the curries, with its sweet and nutty filling counterbalancing the spicy and rich curries. As for the curries, creamy and flavorful. The fish was perfectly tender, and man, there's just something about coconut milk that just hits DIFFERENT with curries (in layman's terms, goes very well together). That saag paneer though: there's a reason why Indian cuisine specializes in vegetarian food. That's all I have to say. And the perfect accompaniment to all this rich, spice flavor bombs is an incredibly refreshing, smooth mango lassi. To conclude: just go, you'll enjoy your time there. It's a good amount of food, my friend and I were stuffed and had leftovers to spare. In terms of pricing, I would say that it's on the lower-midrange. We're definitely going back and trying out more from their diverse menu.“
“After a session at the gym, I was fairly hungry and a protein shake wasn't going to do it. So decided to look up a few places and while driving, I saw this at the corner and this place had been on my bookmarks for a while and decided to give this a go instead. Since it's downtown and midday parking is horrendous, but since they're located near an alley, homegirl parked on the red and came in to do a to go order. Walked up to a kiosk and ordered 2 chicken shawarma, one with hummus and the other with mixed greens. ( Summer is coming around the corner, so gotta make sure we're staying within the macros.) I really did enjoy my plate, the wrap was packed with protein which I enjoyed. Usually a lot of places are skimpy with their protein portions, but the chicken was tender and full of flavor. It was also very refreshing as there was tabuleh and pickles. I like the little banana peppers addition to the salad, I just ate them with the shawarma instead. The hot sauce is creamy, pretty mild, but got the job done. PS Would you guys make a halal hot sauce? Just asking because some people like me would like our insides to burn. Lol. Would be coming back just to try their plate .“
“Very surprised by the quality. Ordered the ground chicken kebab (koobideh) and the white meat chicken kebab. The flavor and quality was great. Getting chicken Koobideh to be flavorful is an uphill battle since it’s just ground chicken. This was beautifully seasoned, charred and juicy. Generous portions of beautifully cooked rice with salad and grilled vegetables and pita bread round it all out for a very competitive price in this inflation age. I wish there was an M Grill closer to where I live in Joshua Tree.“
“Those of us who like pizza... have to visit and try these unique delicacies. They have 25 pizzas on the menu. We have 6, we are missing 19. The place is small. They don't sell beers but it's worth it. 2 locations passage to and San Fernando.“
“This review is long overdue! I had such a great experience at this location. I have been to the Brea location as well and this one is my favorite. The customer service is great and the food is delicious. I like to eat there because it's better fresh and it was nice and clean inside.“
“This place is fun. The gyros are piled full of meat. I have visited twice now. The people are nice and the place is clean. The only odd thing is that my fries tasted like fish. I noticed that they offer fish and chips, so you might want to keep the fries and fish in separate deep fryers.“
“As entreprenuers we travel the world and the unknown and get to have great experiences with people. Today we visited World Famous Grill in Downey and Hassan was the perfect gentleman. He helped us with a Kabob Combo Plate with hummus, rice salad and pita bread along with their famous Western Burger which was monstrous and delicious. Our daughter was also able to order chicken nuggets and fries as well. We appreciate these small businesses opposed to all the BIG corporations who usually say no to us asking for food. Thank you again World Famous Grill.“
“The experience exceeded my expectations. I came in just a few minutes before closing, and the chef came out from behind and kindly took my order for chicken kebab. He offered two versions boneless or with bone I chose with bone and after I already placed my order I decided to add on a chicken Koobideh. He said that would be 20 minutes, so I relaxed and enjoyed the smell of my made to order dinner being cooked. When I saw it prepared, I opened it up with the chef and he gave me a big smile with pride. I told my wife I'm bringing home dinner. I didn't even take a bite until I got back home 60 miles away and we enjoyed every every every everything about it. I recommend Café Aly.“
“Food was hot and fresh. Service was great and friendly. Hot was definitely spicy. Lemon Pepper wings tasted like a cheap dry rub. Okay wing but it was missing that freshness from a saucy wing vs. dry rub. Nonetheless it was all a great value.“
“Big Al’s pizza is the BEST pizza in Southern California! It’s delicious! The Lebanese Garlic Chicken is full of flavor. The Habanero wings are spicy and perfect! Do not hesitate to give this place a try. You will be hooked! The customer service is also top notch!“
“The food is great, reasonable prices as well. The service was good, the atmosphere could be better. Unfortunately at the time they were out of many of the food options.Parking: Paid parking but hard to find.Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly area.“
“This place is truly great. I highly recommend the Chicken Kabob plate. The chicken is juicy, the hummus is perfect and the rest that comes with it is just perfect. The owner is also really kind. He's super grateful which makes want to support him as much as I can.“
“Very solid spicy beef noodle soup! It wasn't really spicy but the broth was super flavorful and the meat and vegetables only added to it. The knife cut noodles were abundant and very nice and chewy. It was a pretty good sized bowl. We also tried the beef roll and it was very, very good. I expected it to be greasier because of the pancake and sweeter because of the hoisin but it wasn't. It was perfectly balanced between meat, pancake and the scallions and cilantro. It even came with some chili oil to make each bite extra tasty. We really enjoyed our meal and are glad this place is within walking distance of our apartment. Everyone who worked here was very bright, cheerful and friendly, so the service was great.“
“ust dined at Shekarchi in downtown LA, and it’s safe to say it’s the best Persian restaurant in Southern California. The cuisine is of unmatched quality and deliciousness, blending authentic Persian flavors seamlessly. The Koobideh and Shishlik come highly recommended for those looking to indulge in the true essence of Persian culinary excellence. The atmosphere of Shekarchi sets it apart, offering a romantic vibe with an American twist, making it the perfect introduction for non-Persians keen on experiencing Middle Eastern food for the first time in an inviting, familiar environment. Shekarchi is undeniably a must-visit for a memorable culinary journey.“
“Smells good but WARNING - if you don’t have 25 minutes to wait for a chicken sandwich you are better off going elsewhere. They should really have a warning on the door that says Nashville Chicken and your grandmas speed.UPDATE: 100% worth the wait tho. So idk, guess I’ll order ahead next time! So damn good.“
“I’ve been meaning to stop by this place for years. I’m kicking myself for waiting so long. First, the place is so welcoming and open. I remember when it was a KFC and I cannot believe how great they made it look. The staff was awesome! When I walked in they were joking around with each other like pals! Back and front staff! It’s rare to see such a positive team feeling like this! The manager was also very welcoming and gave great suggestions and was incredibly friendly and helpful. I don’t know what these negative reviews are talking about. The portions are great, and you get more for what you pay. The meat was quality white chicken breast meat which is no surprise because they have a carniceria on site! The meal felt homemade. The salad was fresh and the hummus tasted like it was made that morning. Great experience! Im definitely making this a regular spot!“
“My experience at Dave's hot chicken was good. The staff are extremely friendly and social and the atmosphere is warm and exiting with amazing outdoor seating. Me and my peer got a soft drink, fries, tenders, and a chicken slider all of them extra spicy. Extra spicy is like a 7/10 for me (my spice tolerance is kinda mid but better than the average). The fries and chicken were crunchy but the food is quite greasy. Chicken is heavily seasoned. We went finished the food at around 1 pm and our stomachs started hurting. Its 10:35 PM right now and my stomach still hurted. Both had an irritated stomachand I had to take medicine for the pain to go away. Overall, would reccomend to people that can take the spice and are enjoyers of heavily seasoned and greasy foods. However, people who cannot tolerate spice, grease, and HEAAAVILY seasons foods should not come here. Praying for anyone who's stomach gets upset by this chicken ????“
“Great place for a fried chicken sandwich. I always take it to go, but there is outside (covered) seating if you want to eat there. Their menu is posted on the main window, which is really convenient, but I would REALLY like to be able to see the cashier - they have to stoop to see out, making it awkward for both of us.“
“Gareth was the best representative of Dave’s Hot Chicken, he answered all questions and did it with a smile. First time eating here and it was amazing, hot, fresh and delicious. Great atmosphere with great music! We will be back several times ?“
“I recently visited Cedar’s Tacos and was thoroughly impressed. We ordered 5 tacos and 2 carne asada quesadillas all halal. The freshness of the ingredients stood out, enhancing the flavor of every bite. Cedar’s commitment to halal options is commendable, and their execution of Mexican cuisine is spot-on. If you're seeking quality tacos and quesadillas, Cedar’s Tacos is a solid choice. Five stars from me without hesitation.“
“I stumbled upon Shayan Express Restaurant, and what a delightful surprise it turned out to be! The service was impeccable, with the staff going above and beyond to make us feel special. Now, let's talk about the food – an explosion of flavors that awakened my taste buds. The lamb kebabs were tender and flavorful, and the aromatic rice dishes were heavenly. The ambiance was charming, with Persian carpets and traditional decor creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. I left with a happy heart and a full belly, and I'll be returning soon!“
“We came in on a Sunday evening for a small birthday celebration and we had a great time. We booked it for 7 adults but the person who rsvp forgot we had 2 babies with us, but they were able to accommodate our group. There was a wedding booked inside, we were sat outside in their lovely patio, it's a very pretty patio and there's space heaters everywhere. In the quest to be media / tech savvy they have 4 separate QR code menus and they do not link to each other, so there is a drink menu, a dinner menu, a hookah menu and one other menu. That was a bit confusing at first, since everyone initially started off wit ha different menu. But we got the hang of it. it's a pretty big menu, we ordered a combo platter for 4 people and another combo platter for 2 people and a vegetarian sampler. The 4 and 2 people combos are same just sized differently. They come out on enormous metal platter that is placed on a pedestal on your table. The platters came with steak and chicken breast kabobs and then also ground beef and ground chicken kabobs as well (lule? koobideh?) they were pretty juicy and flavorful, they only came with like 2 tiny garlic toums but you can and should request more. Oh and it also comes with like hella pita breads. The rice soaks up the meat juices from the platter and is bomb af. We took home 2 boxes of food, they don't skimp. The alcoholic drinks are kinda disappointing, like the cocktails are all under powered and watered down low on alcohol, but the fruity drinks taste spectacular as a fruit juice drink but not as a cocktail. the quarantini (their take espresso/coffee martini ) is just watered down and doesnt taste like anything. Either get bottles of wine or hard alcohol don't get the cocktails. If you're sitting on the outside patio do be aware that they have hookah service out here, so if you're not down with that you should sit inside. they have live music and dancing as well (we had a senior citizens dinner due to the kids, so we missed it, but I rememeber it being a good time the last time we saw it.) Good spot wouldn't mind returning at all.“
“Excellent chicken sandwich (wrap)! Great sauces to get the sweet and savory to your liking...but the best part of HGs in Glendale on Brand is Gil and Claudia who prepared my food and were exceptionally friendly and professional. See you next week!“
“My wife and I found the place by googling halal fish and chips decided to give this place a try and very glad we did. The menu was excellent we had chicken and waffles and fish and chips everything was delicious. The brewed African coffee was excellent, only wish we had a few more days to try out everything on the menu. The brothers were warm and friendly to us. Highly recommend.Dietary restrictions: The menu is Halal“
“Long time didn't try at LA wonderful wrap!?This SHAWARMA IS 100% SATISFACTION GUARANTEED. I can tell! Definitely will be back again to try rest of their menu.Every items looks so delicious ?yummy! yammy!Vegetarian options: SHAWARMA without meet. You'll get mushrooms and cheese beans and vegetables.“
“This restaurant has close to 40 years history of continuous operation in, arguably, one of the most competitive market for Chinese foods in the USA. It's due to a combination of high quality of foods and unique niche market segment (Islamic Chinese foods).“
“Food wise. I got a breakfast burrito. Tastes a lot like eggs and the fried tots. The chicken is in there but lightly. I got medium heat. I can't handle spice that much but I have to say if you would compare it with other places. This medium is more like a mild if you ask me. Service def get like a 4 or something. The man who helped me was soooo don't bother me. I wanted to ask him about the fries but I just didn't because I felt like he would cut my head off. It's the oldest one that works here. I hope he is not the boss. Cause with a smile you ll let much more chickens sold. It's cheap and it's easy to smile. Anyway, I could see the other people eating the chicken sandwiches which looked delicious. There was a women who ordered three combos with drinks. So I guess she much have spend at least 40$. She asked for more of their special saus. That guy charged her 0.99 cents. Hahahhaha. That was kinda cringe. But overall would go back.“
“Pretty good Indian food, not the best but solid for ordering in and i've only ever ordered delivery from here. Portions are so generous with the biryani (seriously comes stuffed), which is why I'll be a returning customer always. Chicken biryani - large chunks of chicken that can be a bit dry, but good flavor and portion. Comes with golden raisins, green cardamom pods, and almond slices. You can't eat everything in here but it really adds to flavor. Lamb samosa - comes still crispy with good ground lamb flavor. Comes with mint and another sweet sauce. Samosas are a good size (for me, it's a handful). Easy to take on the go, which is why I typically opt for these. Veggie samosa - comes with bean stuffing, good curry flavor. Similar to lamb samosas and I did really enjoy these. Chicken tandoori - Chicken can be a bit dry but good flavor! Food always comes hot and I've never had an issue with ordering delivery. Definitely recommend.“
“I always think Dave's is consistent but I give it four stars because the service isn't always the best and the portion sizes aren't as large as other places. I do love the pickles and the sauce offered along with honey. Always appreciate the consistent hours and delivery of food though!“
“Hands down best Lamb in Los Angeles! A little pricy, and they guys are a bit string and demqnding tips, but the lambs are still the best anyway. A bit pricy tho, but i understand what does it mean to have such a good meat.We stopped going there recently because we always were kinda forced to tip, and the prices itself are high, with the tip 15-20% option that u provide there, makes a meal for 30-35 bucks which is very high.“
“Came in today about noon ish, the owner or person working was very nice. My did take a while but that was expected as they cook everything to order. The food wash exactly what I was looking for. The chicken, rice, salad and hummus was delish!! I'll be back again“
“Great Halal Persian place located in Pasadena! Great location , fast service and best of all great food ! Ordered a variety of kabobs , lamb shank , hummus , rice. excellent taste nothing was dry and perfectly grilled. My favorite was the lamb shanks , followed by the kobbideh skewers. Can recommend enough !“
“Delicious food. I came in with my girlfriend to try something new, we always eat out at the same restaurants. This place was beyond good! Waiter was nice and welcoming, we had a nice lunch during the day before heading back home. Thank you guys once again !“
“Tried this for the first time today, and it was absolutely delicious! It's a hidden gem in Pasadena! Highly recommend, the staff was friendly and attentive to my order (it being my first time). Looking forward to returning with friends and introducing them to this hidden gem!“
“I tried many Indonesian restaurants in the area before and hands down this Wayang restaurant offers the best and most authentic Indonesian foods. I just love the wonderful combination of flavors and fragrances from the tropical spices used in the cooking. Additionally, the owner Lily is very friendly and attentive to all guests. She makes sure everybody is satisfied. It's always been a great pleasure dining at this place. Highly highly recommended! You should definitely give it a try.Vegetarian options: Gado gado ( steamed veggie salad with peanut sauce, tofu and rice cake) is one of the best vegetarian dishes anybody should try ( whether they're vegetarian or not). So yummy!“
