“It wasn't too localized so I enjoyed it! The naan wasn't that tasty, but the curry and samosas were delicious. The service is just like an American restaurant. They say it's Michelin-starred, but I'm not sure if it's amazing, but I think you can think of it as something you wouldn't mind eating as your last meal in LA. I recommend it if you want to eat delicious curry that is not too localized.“

“Great tasting food, service was attentive, atmosphere/decor was great. We were told to order more food than we thought necessary, by the time we got the last dish - we couldn't finish it. Unfortunately, they packed it up in such a small container that you could tell half of the curry was thrown out! Recommend to use a bigger container!“

“We were tourist to LA and found this great restaurant by the reviews on Google and it lived upto our expectations. Great food , ambience and most importantly great customer service. Couldn’t ask for more. We went for dinner and came back for lunch the following day due to the food being very tasty. Lunch buffet was very good and price was very reasonable. Tandoori fish is a must try.Would definitely recommend this restaurant.“

“Abhiruchi is amazing! I've been going there for 2-3 years and I've never been disappointed. The Abhiruchi chicken curry, goat biryani, and the chili garlic naan are highlights, but everything I've tried has been excellent. The service is always kind and welcoming, and Omar in particular is the best. My girlfriend and I want Abhiruchi to cater our wedding!“

“Tried this new place out. We had the all you can eat lunch special. There were definitely some pros/cons.The pros were: excellent food (especially the butter chicken), great naan! Price was reasonable at $19 per person. Easy to park with no extra cost. Dessert was good but they only had a fruit salad NO sweet rice or NO gulab jamun (which I normally looooove to eat at other Indian restaurants). Good service, the waiter was kind. The cons: the atmosphere could have been more upbeat, it was very quiet (no music playing), they ran out of the dish we loved so we had to wait an extra 15-20 minutes before they brought more out and the rice was limited; I think we could have asked for more but we ended up just using what they gave us.“

“This Indian restaurant located in Culver City 90230. The couple running the restaurant are very nice. The prices and portions are on point. All dishes including the appetizers are delivered on an outside patio. No indoor tables except one table.“

“Food is absolutely delicious! The staff & service are really good! I imagine precovid it was a restaurant with some ambience but it's just a bare bones place now that seems to do a ton of takeout. Definitely try if you have not! The food will not disappoint!!“

“I’ve looked Tikka Masala ever since I was a kid and eating at this place has just made my love for the food even better. I tried the Panner Tikka Masala with naan and I was happy with the food. It was fresh and hot! The naan was also hot and freshly cooked which made the meal completely better. I also ordered Shrimp Tikka which is something completely new to me and I loved it. It tastes like a kebab and very crispy. Great Customer Service! Lots of dishes to try from the menu. Check it out!“

“My friend and I came to Tara's because she had heard good things about the restaurant from multiple people. We came in not really sure what to expect, and left with very happy bellies. The food was good and the portions were huge for the price. I got the butter chicken and asked them to swap the dark meat for white meat which they were able to do. It was quite the savory treat! My friend got the Daal Bhat Tarkari with Garlic Tofu and was happy with her choice as well. We also got an extra side of rice and some garlic naan bread to share and had plenty of leftovers to have for lunch the next day. The restaurant has a very cozy feel to it and our waitress was a total sweetheart. Tara's is the perfect place to come for some warm food on a cold night. I can't wait to come back!“

“Solid Indian restaurant. The outdoor covered patio was a bit cold and they had a makeshift outdoor area on the side of the restaurant which wasn't ambient. However, after a few requests, we were able to get seated in the main restaurant area, which is really nice (although a bit dark). The food was overall very tasty. The malai kofta was quite good. Bhel puri could have been more flavorful. Naans were cooked well. Good selection of drinks. Will likely be back!“

“Had a delicious meal here. Used Google to select this restaurant and it didn’t disappoint. We had the chicken tikki masala and chicken voodol and both were excellent. Service was very attentive and quick. We did order garlic naan and either they brought us regular naan or it wasn’t very garlicky. But it was still yummy.“

“Their goat curry is very rich and they choose delicate and delicious cuts of it for the curry. Great flavor in many of the food there.I enjoy their basmati rice, goat curry, mint chaay, pickled veggies, and fresh food!! I always like getting my weekend drink freebie of the super creamy Mango Lassi!Very quick service. They do their best to get you warm naan, cold water, and clean tables to get more food. Servers are quick to seat you and take care of your table. They are also very helpful especially when I needed anything.Hope to see this place stays open as it has been for over 50 years!“

“Indian food is my favorite food so I am very picky about it. I love this place! The food was so good and I am so happy now that I found this place. I got chicken Tika masala (medium spicy) with garlic and plain naan. This meal took back to the first time I ate Indian food. I would suggest ordering extra naan I always do.“
“Store owner is great. Cheap groceries and has everything you'd need to make a last minute meal or if you're missing an ingredient which I've needed on occasion lol. I'm super excited that I won't have to drive far and it's open late. Definitely recommend!“

“The food was delicious! My husband and I ordered the chicken tikka masala Frankie burrito, and the chicken tikka masala Pijja. We absolutely loved the Pijja, the thin naan crust was crispy, light, and delicious. The Frankie had really nice flavors too with the pickles and veg. We would definitely come again!“

“Don't miss out on this hole in the wall tasty Pakistani and Indian Halal cuisine. Despite having three signs displayed in front of their building, it's really easy to miss because it's located on PCH, unless you happen to stop because of the nearby traffic lights. I'm always looking for mom and pop businesses to support and happened to be in the area and saw this spot. Prices are very fair and portions are generous. They even have lunch specials that are available from Tues-Thurs and other daily specials that you don't want to miss. They have plenty of indoor space and even have a gorgeous outdoor patio seating. Unfortunately, it was quite hot that day so I opted to sit indoors.|| L O C A T I O N / P A R K I N G ||-Closest cross streets are PCH and Appian Way-Parking is available in the rear. You want to turn into the entrance as soon as you pass by the nail and hair salon. We passed by it thinking that we could just park in the next available entrance but that was not parking for that plaza.-Came on a Friday at noon and the lot was probably 70% full.|| F O O D / D R I N K S ||Mango Lassi ($4.00) - So smooth and delicious. Not too sweet!Potato Samosa ($4.00/4pcs) - So crispy and pairs super well with their green sauce! They also offer beef samosas but I wanted to try something without meat since my main dishes were heavy on meat.Chicken Tikka Masala ($13.99) - A classic Indian dish that I always order. What I liked about theirs was that it was so creamy and flavorful. We opted for a mild spice level and it was perfect. If you want to go for a spicier kick, medium would be a spice option to go with. Like many Indian restaurants, it doesn't come with rice or naan and will have to be ordered separately.Garlic Naan ($2.99) - Garlic Naan is always a must for me. Theirs was freshly made and the most fluffy naan that I've ever had. Do yourself a favor and make sure to order extra because one order is not going to be enough for two people. I made sure to order one naan for each person in my party.Special Chicken 65 ($15.99) - Decided to try something new and saw that many fellow Yelpers posted about this. It's chicken mixed with tangy and garlic sauce. The tanginess isn't too strong which was perfect for me. It pairs extremely well with rice or naan. Definitely recommend it if you're looking to try something new.Lamb Pulao (FRIDAY SPECIAL $14.99) - Our server recommended this daily special dish and since we were a fan of lamb, we decided to go for it. The portion is extremely generous. You can order one for yourself or share with at least one or two other people. Since it comes with a large portion of rice, I ended up saving some of that rice to go with my chicken tikka masala. Usually with lamb, there is a certain smell/odor that I don't like if it's not cooked properly but I was so pleasantly surprised that I could barely distinguish that odor. The meat was so tender that it came off the bone pretty easily.“

“Been to this restaurant 2X already. Love the food here. If you are looking for authentic Indian food I would recommend going to this restaurant. A Nepali family runs this restaurant and they were really nice. Great customer service. Their portion of food was very good. I would recommend trying out their chicken momos and get it spicy. Absolutely delicious. We would definitely go there again.“

“We loved the food a lot. Jain food was very good. Staff was not that polite, however food made us very happy. If you stay in LA and visit Santa Monica beach and looking for India vegetarian restaurant around, this restaurant will come to rescue. Just mind the timing as its open till 9:30 pm.Dietary restrictions: They have separate Jain menu. We tried Jain Paneer makhani, Paneer paratha, Dal tadka and Jeera rice. Every dish was amazing. Must a visit.“

“Another long-overdue review. Indian Summer is consistently good over the past 2 decades I've been visiting. I really miss their sit-down location. Even though it's just takeout now, the food quality is just the same. Excellent Korma, Masala, & Rice! We love getting the large size and having leftovers throughout the week. Last time I ordered online, I remember it being a bit clunky, so I recommend ordering over the phone.“

“Excellent delicious, fresh, healthy vegetarian food served in a highly uplifting atmosphere. Nice people, and fantastic location next to the Krishna temple. We also went to the Bhagavad Gita museum next door and thought that was fabulous. Will definitely return the next time we are in LA!“

“We wandered in unexpectedly for dinner on a Saturday night and it was a delightful experience! Confused by the number of poor reviews and frankly a lot of them seem unjustified. We were greeted & seated promptly, single waiter was clearly stretched thin but he was very nice & apologetic about the wait (which was not even long). Ordered tandoori chicken, butter chicken, and salmon kebab—all were delicious & cooked perfectly but butter chicken was a real highlight. Very reasonably priced; 3 people with an app, entrees, sides, and beers for all came out to $97.“

“April Food Explorer club wanted to learn about Indian food and culture. So we headed to India Sweets & Groceries. Our group of four loved it. This was the first time for some of them to try Indian food. This is a simple Indian grocery store and we enjoyed looking at the foods available to take home and cook with. Snacks looked great! There are a few tables between the buffet and the grocery aisles. The People serving our food were helpful and supportive as we asked lots of questions. They explained things to us. The customers were also kind and helpful and shared their suggestions for what to order. Some of our favorites were the rice, samosas, Dahi Vada and Palak Paneer. You can not beat the price. We had more then enough food for four people and it was $30.00. This place is not fancy but great for great food and family friendly. We will all return on own and look forward to sharing this treat with our friends.“

“I drive by this place all the time as I only live a few blocks away. I was craving Indian food so I decided to give this spot a try and the fact that they sell pizza drove my curiosity even further. I ordered a Chicken Tikka masala pizza which was absolutely amazing, highly recommend that! I also ordered butter chicken, chicken Tikka masala, garlic naan, rice, and samosas for me and my family to share. The butter chicken was my 2nd favorite item I ordered. So delicious and they give you a good portion of chicken in it. I even put some of the sauce on my pizza to make it taste even better. The chicken Tikka masala that I ordered in the side tasted really good too but it was light on the chicken which was disappointing. Everything was pretty good, except the samosas. They weren't bad I just felt they were a bit on the bland side, the sauce they gave me on the side helped it out. I would highly recommend this spot to anyone who loves Indian food!“

“I don't know why I've taken so long to review this restaurant. I come here multiple times a week. Their food is amazing. It's consistent, it's delicious, it never disappoints. I'm Indian myself and I've eaten at a lot of Indian spots, I'm talking a lot. From fancy over priced places to hole in wall random spots. LA Indian food is pretty on point but I will confidently say Tandoor-A-India one of the best spots in all of LA. It's very good. If you're in the area, or not. GO! 10 out of 5 stars. The best. Well done!“

“The guy in the front is very nice and has great customer service! I got the vegetable samosas and they were really good with nice flavor (I basically finished all of them). My only wish is that the mint chutney would be a little spicier but still this meal is definitely a 10 out of 10.“

“Very reasonably priced and pretty good food. The owner was super friendly. I had the lemon rice which was nice, the yogurt curry which was fine, but I'd get something else next time. I wasn't hungry, so it didn't bother me, but the portions are relatively small. They have some tables just outside. I'm interested in the burrito, which I'll likely try next time.“

“Second time to Al Watan. You don't come here for the ambience or service but for the food. Overall I would said the food is good as we tried the different number of dishes. We tried the tandoori platter, samosa and lamb and chicken briyani. It was an enjoyable meal especially with 6 of us sharing the meal.“

“Going there again for sure, the samosa definitely sparked my interest in trying vegan Indian food. It's a buffet type restaurant with approximately 10 tables. It looks as though most people there are of all nationalities. It's very eclectic and a very nice vibe. The prices is reasonable as well“

“I took our family there for dinner with Groupon. We aren't familiar with Indian food. Everything we ordered was good. Very delicious and inexpensive. We ordered samosa and fries with mixed veggies, Butter chicken, eggplant, spanish with cheese, teki kabab, veggies basmati, nan, roti, and rice pudding. However, we don't really like Indian beer and Indian ice tea. The mango smoothie was good. I gave 3 stars for the atmosphere because they don't turn on the air conditioner in the summer. It was very hot. We are eating and sweating.“

“I did not know that this police existed until I searched on Google and I am pleasantly surprised. The food is great. There was a lot of space and I also found out that this establishment has been open for 18 years so that definitely speaks to the longevity and quality. I also learned that this is a hotspot for a lot of local people who work in the area because their buffet is pretty stellar, so I’m looking forward to checking out the buffet during lunch at some point. Certainly a spot I will come back with some friends. Glad I found it.Vegetarian options: Great vegan optionsParking: Street parking is sufficientKid-friendliness: Very kid friendly“

“This unassuming corner restaurant is our go to for Indian food. It is the most authentic and delicious that you can find in this area. The portions are sizable and the menu is actually affordable (rare for Santa Monica). While most people order takeout, we love to dine in because the music and artwork make you feel like you have been transported to India. The staff is so kind and they always throw in extras. They are quick to offer recommendations if you want to try something new! If you have a craving for butter chicken or real homemade chai then this place is for you.
