“Stopped in for lunch on our visit to Carmel. Absolutely loved the crispy crust of our all meat pizza. The chocolate cake was our favorite dessert we had during our stay in town. The service was excellent, and we even had an awesome chat with the owner. Would definitely come again!“

“I wanted to write the perfect review but I won't be able to do that. The people there were so nice and so warm. The location is in an old house in historic downtown Pacific Grove. But I can't let this go, the prices were high (as expected) and then they did the old trick of, "Did you want chorizo with that"....without telling you it's a $6 upcharge for two teaspoons added on top of your $17 plate of chiliquilies. So for $23, you get a full plate, I mean piled high of tortilla chips covered in a homemade red sauce (delicious). A table or teaspoonful of queso fresco per the recipe (delicious), two fried eggs, and sour cream on the side, (awesome). Most recipes for this dish that I've eaten will offer a choice of protein. Chorizo is a very common breakfast protein for this recipe. I would argue that it should be part of the recipe regardless but if you ask people, "Do you want chorizo on that?", many will say yes for the reasons I mentioned above. But when the bill comes watch out. It was a $6 upcharge to my $17 choice of breakfast. If it's an upcharge you have to tell me in advance. "Do I want it?", is one question. "Do I want it for the price you will charge me?", has to be a separate question. If it's some amount that high, an extra 1/3 of the price of my breakfast, then you shoudl feel extremely obligated to tell me how much. Don't make me feel like an a-hole bringing up your sketchy business upcharge practices to you in the middle of a super-packed breakfast/brunch rush when you hand me the bill. I didn't bring it up but I wanted to, very badly. As good as the meal was the experience left a bad taste in my mouth and more than a week later I'm still shaking my head about it. For a place that thrives on tourist and word-of-mouth business, there's no reason for this type of shady business antics which leads someone like me who otherwise really enjoyed this place to go to the trouble of leaving a bad review. I probably won't go back due to this.“

“We came to Domenico's to celebrate our annual girl's trip and had never been to Domenico's before. Camilo, our waiter, warmly welcomed us and took our drink and appetizer orders, gave us recommendations and was very kind and accommodating. When we received our food I found my dish, the swordfish in clam broth, to be extremely salty. The busser noticed that I was not enjoying it and offered to have them remake the meal, but I asked for the sole instead, which my friend was enjoying. They very quickly brought out the new meal, which was very good. I was embarrassed, but so pleased with the service. I would most definitely come back again.“

“The good part, the food is pretty decent. I loved the flavored iced tea they used to have until the machine broke, probably back in March. It was delicious!!! Unfortunately, there doesn’t seem to be any urgency to get it repaired or buy a new one. I come in all the time asking (they are annoyed by my repeat questions, lol). I’m very sad about the no iced tea!

The bad part is the service, specifically the rudeness from the employees. I know that they are super busy, but so are other extremely busy places (example, in-n-out). No excuse to be rude. I guess that is not a quality that the owner cares about in their employees. Again, sad. Kindness comes from the heart.“

“Just got food poisoning from this location. Drive thru person was also extremely rude and talking to someone on his phone while taking my payment. Never said one word to me , just held out his hand for my card and handed it back to me. No thank you, no nothing... NASTY“
